Let The Cool Goddess Rust - Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
I really wish I could’ve saved my play counts when I wiped my computer when I came home from university. It’s not a bad list but everything is a little too “new”.
Both my husband and son also have iPods, so they have added to the play counts.

Wheel in the Sky- Journey
More Than A Feelin’- Boston
Mr Jones- Counting Crows
The End- The Beatles

Play counts range from 54 to 45. All rock songs. Pretty good representation of my musical tastes.
Something, by The Beatles
Tangled Up In Blue, by Bob Dylan
You Can’t Always Get What You Want, by The Rolling Stones
Ruby Tuesday, by The Rolling Stones
Brain Damage, by Pink Floyd
If You See Her, Say Hello, by Bob Dylan
Norwegian Wood, by The Beatles
The Letter, by The Box Tops
Andy’s Chest, by Lou Reed
Everlong, by Foo Fighters
Not a bad sample, since I’ve had this computer for less than a year. My iPod play count list looks pretty different - there Dear Prudence is the most-played Beatles song, and The Clash and The White Stripes are represented pretty heavily.
The computer that had all my music died but I was able to copy most of what I had to my newer one. Lost my play counts in the process; here’s my top 10 from back in May.
Everything changes, Staind
Let’s do it(let’s fall in love), Joan Jett and Paul Westerberg
Girl all the bad guys want, Bowling for soup
Fat bottom girls, Queen
Ant music, Adam Ant
Hot rod lincolin, All
Hate me, Blue october

Coldplay - Fix You
U2 - Who’s Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses (The Temple Bar Mix)
U2 - Running to Stand Still / Dirty Old Town (Live at Point Depot, Dublin, 31 Dec '89)
Coldplay - The Scientist
U2 - I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For (Live at Point Depot, Dublin, 31 Dec '89)
David Usher - The Music
U2 - With or Without You
Live - Lightning Crashes
U2 - One
Chantal Kreviazuk - All I Can Do
Play count ranges from 631 to 580. I suspect the new Coldplay album will move it’s way up the charts eventually but it may take a little while. In case anyone’s wondering, I have U2 playlist that gets altered every now an again. Those five generally find their way onto the list with the numbers 2 and 3 on there every time.
I suppose this is pretty representative. I listen to a ton of movie soundtracks but I have so many of them that it’s tough for any one to find their way onto the list. The same goes for classical music.
Taking The Farm - The War On Drugs
On The Water - The Walkmen
Arms Like Boulders - The War On Drugs
Gamma Ray - Beck
Oscar The Grouch - The Cool Kids
For Agent 13 - The Besnard Lakes
One Two - The Cool Kids
Politics - Frog Eyes
Old Man October - The Childballads
MIA ft Gorilla Zoe and Santogold - Get It Up
The new War on Drugs and Walkmen albums have been fighting The Cool Kids for play time. Frog Eyes refuses to give up a couple spots…
Dance With Me Tonight - The Wonders
Pancho & Lefty - Emmylou Harris
My Back Pages - Bob Dylan with Freaking Everybody
Baby Don’t You Break My Heart Slow - Vonda Shepard
Tarkio Road - Brewer & Shipley
All Night Long - Jefferson Starship
Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce
Fanfare For The Common Man - ELP
My Love Will Not Let You Down(Live) - Bruce Springsteen
Like A Hurricane - Neil Young
Interesting - I’ve never ranked them by play count before.
Okay, here’s mine:
Anna Stesia - Prince (92)
And God Created Woman - Prince (86)
Da Bang - Prince (72)
Damn U - Prince (69)

Chelsea Rodgers- Prince (62)
Back to the Matter - Bedouin Soundclash (61)
Don’t Play Me - Prince (61)
The Greatest Romance Ever Sold - Prince (59)
and a bonus track so it doesn’t look like all I ever listen to is Prince - My Love by Justin Timberlake (57)
Hmm. Didn’t think I listened to Prince THAT much!
I’ll tell you one thing about Prince - as you can see, I’ve listened to these songs a fair bit, and reading the list, I want to hear them again. Not bad, eh?
