Hey, thanks, Kimballkid.
“C’mon, you said you were a dancer.”
Those are very well done.

OK – the Beano woman.
Who’s with me?
I have never seen that commercial before…that is hilarious
She isn’t supposed to be portrayed as a typical tag-along GF. she is a ringer. like a pro. She adds on her attire one thing at a time, while she cleans up the table of chips. the Ruffles are just something she is enjoying while kicking butt at the table.
I posted this back in post #18.
No. The point of the ad is that Ruffles make you cool. She shows up and is totally uncool. Then she tries the Ruffles, and bam, she’s got sunglasses. Bam she’s good at poker. Bam everyone thinks she’s hot as she cleans the table eating Ruffles, decked out in bling. She wasn’t a ringer he brought in, it’s the Ruffles that make her the star.
She’s in it for the chips…

Right now I’m also loving the GEICO commercial where the guy gets his kid a possum instead of dog. “There he is.”

FUN FACT! (well, fun for me anyway): These guys, the Dads, are from my hometown and are still friends as far as I know. They wiped the floor with everyone at high school speech tournaments. Both were the kind of smart-funny guys who probably thought they were nerds but everybody wanted to be them.
Jim (the Cox Cable dad) has a web series about an evil cat which I find hilarious, YMMV: Jeff the Cat: Merchant of Darkness
I like the Samsung commercials too where there are filming the people who are in the iphone line and talking about it, then have the Samsung people show them up.
The commercials themselves are only really ok, but I’m applauding Samsung for being ballsy in their direction of their advertising
Rachael, I’ve been meaning to dig this thread up for a while to respond to this post. I watched some Jeff the Cat, and Jim Hanna is my new favorite actor. Of course, I have a crush on him too. ![]()
Generally I think the Geico “happier than a ______” are really stupid, but I love the actor in the Gallagher one. Dude has one line and he totally sells the upper class, overly environmentally conscious DINK: “Does your cauliflower have a big carbon footprint?” (Kudos to the writer of that line too.)
I can’t link to it because I don’t remember what car the ad is for, but my husband and I both love the one where the guy plays air drums in his car. The tag line is “You’re not invisible anymore”.
Speaking of the Geico “happy” ads, does anyone know what the Slinky is saying as he happily rolls down the escalator?
This Samsung commercial rocks! Damn, I want to see her video.
“This is AWESOME!!”
This one’s a little bit naughty.
It makes me smile.
I saw this commercial for California milk last night. Love the cow talking like a high-schooler. BTDubs!
I’m not sure if I like it or hate it, but the song in the recent Prius commercials has become an earworm for me:
“Let’s hum, hum, hum, hum, let’s hum. A Prius for everyone.”
Thank you! I have problems with cartoon/distorted voices. That’s why I stopped watching South Park. It wasn’t just Kenny I couldn’t understand – it was all of them. ![]()
Google Chromebook commercial - a gadget for everyone! - Music by The Death Set “Negative Thinking” - I love that commercial. (and it has the ‘dancing’ twin babies, even better).
