My pick? Carolina.
Now let me lay this out. I think the Patriots are going to win. They’re just that damn good, except for their weird semi-running game, but whatever. I think the Pats are going to take it.
But I’ll be rooting for the Panthers.
It’s gonna break down like this:
Patriots - field goal
Patriots - field goal
Panthers - touchdown
Panthers - field goal
Patriots - touchdown
Panthers - field goal
Patriots - field goal
Panthers - touchdown (in the last two minutes)
Panthers all the way. Final score: 20-16

Me too, almost. I really want the Panthers to win. The Patriots let me down in the '80s when I first started caring about the super Bowl. I too have some serious pools going for Sunday.

I am a Patriots fan, but I try to never be a blind homer. As a Red Sox fan I am always honest about our real chances as I hope in vain for the best. That being said I honestly think the final score will be in the neighborhood of 31-10 in the Pats favor. They are simply a far better team than Carolina with more experience at the key positions.
Every team I choose to root for loses, so… Yay, Panthers!

I’ll be rooting for Carolina, but defense usually wins the big games, and the Pats have DEFENSE.
