Once when I was taking the touristy riverboat ride in New Orleans, I heard one old gal say to another: “look they have one of those steam-powered organs, you know, a kaleidoscope.”
I heard a girls name; Creole. I thought it was cute.
Boys names; Ronin, Aryton, I wish one my kids would name a boy Beck, for obvious reasons.
I have a niece named Wren, I just love that name.

My boys name picks are dead traditional, and the girls are very samey.
I read somewhere that along the Mississippi it was pronounced variously as kal-eye-oh-pee, kally-ope, or steam pai-anna.
