So yesterday I went to see Flight Plan, starring the inestimable Jodie Foster. As happens quite frequently, she far outstripped her material. But what struck me as notable was the fact that Jodie keeps her private life to herself–doesn’t exploit her children for her career–doesn’t make insanely stupid public statements–that she isn’t, you know, crazy.
Likewise Kate Winslet. Smart and attractive and doesn’t buy into Hollywood’s everybody-has-to-be-a-stick-figure mentality.
So what other stars come off (in your opinion, of course) as being, well, not insane?
I’ve always thought Paul Newman was pretty cool. He’s been scandal free, married to the same woman for like 80 years, and manages to use his celebrity in a genuinely helpful and charitable way without coming off as self-serving or grandiose and without being politically strident.
Plus, the Newman’s Own products are actually GOOD. His salsa kicks ass.
Having some creepazoid plug a President in order to impress you probably has a dramatic effect on your private life, or at least how public you allow that life to become.
But thanks to the pic you linked, we know Jodie has beautiful feet. Let’s see her try to deny that. Bwahahahaha.
