You're straight (or gay) but that person of the same (or opposite) sex gets you all..

Whenever the subject’s come up, I always explain that I’m as straight as a Euclidean shortest path between two points. While I can objectively rate how sexy another woman is, the most I ever think in terms of is “wow, I’d like to draw/paint/sculpt her some day.”

And then I started watching Law and Order: SVU. Now, almost all the time, my attention is taken by Christopher Melloni’s character, Detective Elliot Stabler (Stablery goodness…mmmmmm), but lately, the actress who plays his partner, Mariska Hargitay, caught my eye. Then I came across this pic of her from a link on Wikipedia. (NOTE: NOT EXACTLY WORK SAFE)

Homina homina homina…

Good heavens, I wouldn’t even know what to do with such a creature other than look and drool. After getting all hot and bothered, I did a quick check. Chris Melloni? Still of the Studly Do-Right yumminess. Other women? Meh. 'Kay, still straight. But wow.

This happen to anyone else? Over whom? (Post pics, let’s compare.)

Gay man, but I agree that Mariska Hargitay is just gorgeous. She has a wonderful face. Same goes for Keira Knightley. And Salma Hayek.

This has been happening a couple of times to me lately around school. No celebrities, though, so I can’t post any pics. The subject is almost exclusively a black male, so I don’t know whether I’m bisexual or just a fetishist or neither. Further confusing the matter is the fact that I can’t find any desire within myself to do anything remotely sexual with any of them. But it’s still the same feeling I get when I see a girl I want to pounce on.

I’m amazed at how many threads there have been like this.

That’s not a criticism. Let me put it another way, I’m delighted how many threads there have been like this. I mean ones that acknowelge orientation but also that that’s not all there is. Nice to know some of us have realized sex is a banquet…and no need to starve to death.

I can’t think of a particular woman but some situations that by all rights shouldn’t get to me…Gina Gershon and Meg Tilly in Bound? Susan Sarandon and Catherine Catherine Deneuve in The Hunger? ( A movie I went to because I was in lust with David Bowie and left thinking about Susan Sarandon’s tits. They were quite good weren’t they?)

I saw “A Streetcar named Desire” for the first time about a month ago.

I’m straight, totally. But if I went back in time to 1951 and I were gay and he were gay…

Yeah, I realize that’s three big ifs that have no chance of happening, but still.

Like you wouldn’t hit that. I know I would, anways.

I wouldn’t.
