Youtube frustration - don't want to see songs I've listened to recently...

I am a luddite. I remember a time in the past when a person could find a song on
YouTube and be given a number of other songs that the poster of the song I asked for liked. I found many songs I had never heard and many artists. Today, it seems, YouTube, when I find a new song, only links songs I have already listened to recently.

Is there a means to go back to the way it was?

Is there a better free music site that allows seekers to find the music that others like?

I don’t want to be overwhelmed by things I already know or music I’ve already heard about, but it seems that the overlords of the internet have decided that they only care about my present preferences/knowledge and want to trap me in a loop.

HELP???

There is a history tab that you can clear out. Maybe that will help you.

I’ll give it a try.

If you want to see the videos another YouTuber has “liked,” the easiest way is to click on their name and go to their user page.

What you should see in the recommended videos is what other people who have watched the video you did have also watched, as well as a few things that YouTube thinks you might just like to watch for other reasons.
