I think, for similar reasons as to why conservatives need to self-assess themselves as more patriotic than democrats, they also need to reassure themselves that they are for law and order.

Democrats aren’t so insecure as to need to have the phrase repeated like a mantra in order to actually be for law and order.

Justice for the wronged is law and order. Blaming the victim is not law and order at all. It’s the exact opposite–making the victim out to be the bad guy. So, if conservatives do it more, that means they do not value law and order.

There are five pillars of morality, and liberals have two of them: care (harm reduction) and fairness. Some also have pureness/sanctity. Conservatives have that plus two additional values: loyalty and authority.

How is agreeing with conservatives that liberals don’t care about justice, and thus are lawless heathens, supposed to be helpful? I mean, come on. We are called “social justice warriors” because we care so much about social justice–aka justice, aka law and order.

I refuse any interpretation that justice is authoritarian based. Law and order just means justice using the law.

From now on I’m charging you $10 for every time you lecture me about social justice.

Sure. Where was Conservative ‘Law and Order’ when armed men were at the Bundy ranch and one of them was pointing a rifle at Federal agents from a sniper position? Where was Conservative ‘Law and Order’ when armed men occupied a nature reserve?

Please don’t tell us that Conservatives value law and order and Liberals don’t. This is a self-serving fallacy.

But that’s different. Those men are patriots. True American patriots!!

I guess if your idea of law and order is insisting on carrying an AK47 when you go to Applebee’s for dinner, then the conservatives do have a lock on “law and order”. But the conservatives- at least the patriot faction (and the POTUS faction)- seem to make a practice of disrespecting federal law enforcement agencies.
