I find this board to be pretty fair and as consistent as such a community can be considering its size and the hot-button issues it deals with. I had to exile myself from a fan board for a certain late lamented fantasy show because of the politics–not of the board itself, but–well, I didn’t mind the jokes about Bush, until they became the constant whining about Bush, and then extending the evil fundamentalist idiots label to ALL Republicans; my feeble protests about Mike Bloomberg and my non-evil Repub Mom were ridiculed until I (a Dem FWIW) blew up and stormed my way out. That wouldn’t happen here. And there’s another board I’m on that used to be Awfully Large and now goes by another name, wherein you can get Warned for crossing boundaries that are as vague as all those blue lines in hockey.
This place is an oasis of sanity, even though a few of my fellow travellers don’t quite fit the bill…anyway, I appreciate it.
