Zombie threads make me feel old

I was reading a thread the other day and about halfway through it I noticed it was from June, 2004. It made me feel old. I shouldn’t feel old, I’m only 23, but it did.

In June of 2004 I had just graduated from high school and quit my after school job because I was joining the Air Force.

I went into the military, went to Iraq twice, got out, started college, and just got married. Gained and lost some of the best people and friends I will ever know.

All of that since that thread was originally posted.

I need to hurry up and get a house with a yard so I can yell at kids to get off it.

I sometimes see threads that I contributed to when I was 42! Damn, I was so young then.

My favorite thing is when I read an old post and then say to myself, “Damn. That’s what I came in here to say” and then I notice I did say it, four years earlier.
