I got the email this morning that “J&D’s Down Home Enterprises used PayPal MultiOrder Shipping with U.S. Postal Service to create a shipping label for your package.”
Clicking on the delivery status link gets me the message “Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received”
Hopefully, I shall receive bacony goodness shortly.
As a long time Costco member, I thought it a good idea to suggest the Costco consider carring Bacon Salt products. I visited their web site w/ the idea of submitting that suggestion, but found it impossible to do so. I’m going to visit the customer service desk of my next shopping trip, to offer my suggestion. How about you?
Add me to the list. I started following this thread about a week ago. I forced myself to wait until more reviews were posted, but I’ve gone to sleep thinking about Bacon Salt every night and thought about Bacon Salt every day. This evening, I saw the thread on the front page again and decided the time had come: a three-pack of Bacon Salt now sits somewhere in a warehouse destined for my tastebuds.
I don’t cook much, but I eat lunch at work every day, where we get a fixed-menu cafeteria-style meal. (I could eat out if I wanted to, but it is free, and I enjoy the camaraderie with my co-workers. And nothing I make to bring would be any better.) It is usually pretty good, if bland and unexciting. I’ve kept a bottle of Tabasco in my desk since my second week, which helps a lot. I’m hoping Bacon Salt will do even more to elevate my lunches above mediocre. I’m sure it will. Heck, I might get a raise if I can bring myself to share.
Hail bacon, full of grease, the lard is with thee! Tasty art thou amongst meats and tasty is the flavor of thy salt. Hickory bacon, savor of pig, fry for us eaters now and the hour of our breakfast.
Amen.
The Salt is my shepherd; I shall not want for Bacon. It maketh me drool over green vegetables; it leads me to the plate of potatoes; it restoreth my soul. It leads me in paths of deliciousness for its name is Bacon. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of bland, I fear no popcorn, for you are with me; your salt and your hickory smoke, they comfort me. Surely goodness and flavor shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in a giant pile of Bacon flavored everything, forever, amen.

I also got that email on the 27th. My BaconSalt just came this morning. It is good. It is so good! I know what I’m making tonight. Mashed potatoes! With BaconSalt! Hooray!
Having read this thread with mounting horror at the levels of sodium intake you people will surely be achieving any day now, I am emptying my bank account and investing in stock of all the major manufacturers of anti-hypertension medication.
OK, whoa whoa whoa, let’s not get too hasty, here. You just wait until I have Alan Smithee’s and Cervaise’s prayers translated for a Latin mass – then you’ll see who’s Pope!
Mine has arrived, too. So far, since it’s too early for lunch, I’ve only tried it on its own and on a Pringle. It’s good. I plan to put some in my split pea soup and sprinkled on the margarine of my grilled cheese sandwich.
