This almost went into the Pit, but I guess I’m not that mad… I just wasted a lot of time and effort on this game. I got it last year, and started to play, but then things like having a baby, buying a house and moving got in the way of any quality play time. I finally got back into it about a month ago.
The graphics of the game are phenomenal, and I greatly enjoyed the music throughout. I marveled at the clever little puzzles. I spent a lot of effing time playing this game. (And I found out that, when you get really really stuck, you can always find help on the internet… yay)
I got to the end and felt like I had just been duped!! What a lame-ass ending for an otherwise brilliant game!!!
Has anyone else finished this game and felt the same? What a bust! If was like they invited some sixth grader in to write the ending. I feel just sick.
Yeah, I’ve played it; it was a lame ending, but it’s been 2 or 3 years so I don’t remember it too well. Have you played the original Zorks? Those rocked!
Nemesis was when they tried to do a Myst style game. Basically no interaction with other characters. It was the one most unlike their style, and the ending was sort of like “Isn’t there more to it?”. Not that I wanted that one to last any longer.
Grand Inquisitor, the last release, was back to the original humorous Zork style, and was once again fun to play.
