I just think it’s funny that **ZPG **doesn’t realize that, at least in America, almost every single man you will ever meet has at one time or another shaken hands with a woman. And yet, somehow 99+% of American men are not rapists… hmmm.
I bet almost all rapists have drunk milk at some time. Clearly this means that any man you see drinking milk is a potential rapist.
And don’t forget that 99+% of women have willingly shook hands with men, and they are not whores.
Because I am firmly not convinced that the case. Most of the women I know and I work in a female dominated profession (I’m a librarian) consider it just something we have to put up with like women in the 50s had to put up with greater sexual harassment. As for the women that somehow think it’s cool to be treated that way, I think they are deluded and need a conscious raising session along with a lesson in women’s history about how long and how hard we had to fight to get profesions other than sex worker open to women They aren’t helping other women. They are betraying their sisters and sucking up to the patriarchy.
Let’s go with the hypothesis that I am not a vampire, as anyone who’s eaten my overcooked meat could attest.
Now objectively, what does that say about the accuracy of a set of beliefs that say I’m a vampire?
I think because it’s such an every day occurrence. Most of us are shaking hands all the time, so this notion that we’re all budding rapists and whores is diverting. Next time, I’ll be sure to charge for the handshake. Ten dollars if you just want to touch my fingers. Twice that if you want the palm, you pervert.

Seriously, I don’t need a ‘conscious raising session’ (whatever the hell that is), and I am fully aware of the history of feminism - all I need is to be treated equally. Which fortunately I am, where I work. Actually, I have never in my life heard anyone complain about shaking hands or worry about whether or not to do it.
Your reality is not the reality of womanhood. I’m not convinced your reality is reality in any way, shape, or form at all. But please don’t try to pass yourself off a a representative of the way modern women want to be treated.
