You forgot murdering pregnant women.
Bitch, please.
Shaking hands is the way polite people greet each other in modern American society. It’s been this way for years now.
And I strongly doubt that “most of the women” you know feel the way you do about it, given that you’ve posted some downright crazy-ass bullshit about the way you think and the things you claim that others have told you.
I know it’s difficult for you to comprehend, given your level of bugfuck, but do try to keep in mind that the rest of the world? DOESN’T THINK LIKE YOU DO. While this statement is true for everyone, it’s especially true for someone like you.
Upon reflection, I don’t even know why I’m bothering with responding to you. Talking to you reminds me of back when I worked with patients who were hospitalized in the middle of a florid psychotic episode - there’s just no reaching into the delusions you’ve built around yourself.
And if you really are a librarian? God and Goddess help us.
As long as you do it without shaking their hands, it’s okay.
I’m TRYING.
Duh … obviously she doesn’t read men’s palms. Only whores do that.
I really don’t have a dog in this fight, but just FYI, I don’t think the “old South where men only extended their hands first to hookers” ever existed.
I was born in Mississippi in 1960 and have lived here all of my life. I have never heard of such a custom or practice, from any of the thousands of Southerners I’ve interacted with over all these years.
Back in the day, it was proper for a man to gently take a woman’s hand and kind of bow over it; men and women didn’t shake hands in the same way that two men did. BUT that went out years before you were born, ZPG. Nowadays it’s quite proper for men & women to shake hands, and nobody thinks anybody is a slut because of it.
ETA: today I went on a field visit to a property which is the subject of a lawsuit. There I met a handful of attorneys, some men and some women. We all shook each others’ hands and introduced ourselves. And I did enjoy meeting those ladies and gentlemen, so I guess I had an orgy.
I think it’s a library of psychic bullshit though. A library with ‘wise women’ and palm reading. Very academic.
I hope the patriarchy is keeping you in the back sorting books and not out dispensing information to the unsuspecting public.
Damn, do you know how many people **ZPG **has raped!
I’ve begun to work on a theory that, due to quantum hysteresis effects on long-distance digital optical fiber networks, communications on the internet sometimes have sideband leakages into otherwise non-local dimensional domains.
As an example, in this case, we’re talking to someone from a completely different planet, which departed the current probability matrix at some point in the distant past. You know, someone stuffs a cat into a box and the next thing you know you have adopted vampire baby infanticide and handshake rapists.
So my very existence makes society worse, and I’m unwanted? I can assure you the people in my life would disagree. Of course this whole thing is ignoring the point that I am not, nor will be, undead.
Beliefs that say otherwise take a dive in their street cred.
Don’t forget, you’re “unwated” also, wtf-ever that means. I bet it’s bad tho. Maybe even as bad as being a vampire handshake rapist.
The “good girl/whore” distinction should be replaced with the principle that every women should be treated with respect, not the idea that every women can be treated like a whore. Why are you working so hard to tear down other women? And working so hard to impose a narrow, oppresive culture on everybody else? When did respect and considerations for others become such a dirty thing in America?
This is the problem I have with ZPG Zealot - in her mind it’s a-okay for her to say that other people are worthless or terrible because they’re illegitimate or because they’re adopted. It’s okay for her to imply that the rest of us are whores (and rednecks) who don’t know our place just because we willingly touch men (gasp!). It’s okay for her to say that adopters are the kind of people who snatch other peoples children given the chance.
And we’re supposed to change our entire society to conform to these stupid, insulting concepts just because some minor, backwards religion supports them?
Let me just say I disagree. I totally disagree. A handshake is far from a forced touching.
You have heard of these things called gloves right? I’ve used those from time to time especially with male clients from the Mid East or India. Aside from that touching someone while giving a reading is considered morally the same as touching someone while performing a medical procedure or preventing an accident. You people really should use your heads for more than just watching Larry the Cable Guy.
"You people"is a pretty wide brush, don’t you think?
You said you’d suspect jsgoddess was a whore if she reacted pleasantly when a man offered her his hand.
So it’s pretty obvious that you personally group women into two categories: Good girls and whores. Some feminist.
No, it should be replaced with the idea that a woman is no less a person than a man, and should be treated equally. And the idea that a woman can willingly choose to be touched (or hell, even to be kissed or felt up, if she sees fit) without being branded as a whore.
Seriously, sexual equality has come a long way. We don’t need people like you pushing it back into the dark ages.
