35 below two nights ago (that's in Celsius, just to irritate Hail Ants), 30 below last night - where's global warming when you need it?

Maybe you should just consider it to be 238º Kelvin. You a bit warmer now?

Does it not get cold like that anywhere other than Canada?

But -35, geez that is cold. Is that without the windchill factor?

Excuse me while I go put on a sweater and some wool socks, I'm freezing here!

Angkins,

without.

the weather announcer tried to cheer us up by saying in that oh so bouncy voice they use, "But hey, would have been worse if the wind were blowing."

Do you live in one of those areas where people have to leave their cars running all night long?

I think people from cold climes are potentially smarter -- you have to actually think before you do stuff.

Like, you don't wash your car and then let is set, cuz your doors will freeze shut. Don't let the dog out and then sit down to dinner. Put the garden hose away. Take the battery out of the lawn tractor.
