So, in the pub on Sunday evening, with a couple of BritDopers, it occured to me that its been a while since we’ve had a “proper” Dopefest - you know the type that involves beer, food, AnguaCookies, Mine Pies, magic tricks, more beer, and general shenanigans and hijinks. So, who’s up for one - sometime in November or December?
Are there enough of us to make a fest? I have never met other dopers so it might be interesting!
Oh, there’s plenty enough of us - most tend to post on NADS as well. And Dopefests tend to be fun for newbies. 
Given enough time and notice, like this thread, the bigger ones tend to pull anywhere between 15-30 people, sometimes more.
And drink will flow…
Count me in, unless it’s around Dec 8th, because that’s my birthday, and I’ll be having a party for me. At which no-one will turn up, again :(.

OK, so so far, we’ve got you guys who’ve replied here (Me, InvidiousCourgette, paulbeserker, qts, Andy, Ianzin, Gyrate, and Bonzer) plus from NADS - Mad Matt, SciFiSam, Tir, Twisty, Jjimm if he’s moved over here yet, Android109, Don Potholeone2, for sometime this year. People who’ve said they’d prefer one in January/February are **Curly Chick, London Calling, Yojimbo, and Jjimm if he hasn’t moved yet.
Right, so there’s interest. Now we need - date, time, place. Fire the suggestions.

Well the Silver Cross has a higher capacity if we’re looking at big numbers. The Chandos gets bloody busy.
Well, it looks like at least 15+ people…
And we can take over the basement of the Silver Cross again.
I promise I won’t do my face hugger routine (much) this time.
The only problem with the Silver Cross Basement though is that it ain’t always open.
Hmmm… Do they do these things like booking rooms out in advance? Cause if so, I sense a cunning plan…

The silver cross does do bookings, but i don’t know whether they charge. I’ll ask next time i’m in there.
