No offense, but they just look a little too…“Playskool” for my tastes.
I was thinking it was a nod to Easter egg dyes.
I was going to start a thread called Who uglied up the board? but I guess y’all beat me to it. The whole place looks like my kids’ Easter baskets, not just the smilies. Oh well. Can’t have everything. Where would you put it? :smack:
 :dubious: :o
We’ve got a ways to go before we start addressing cosmetic concerns, and certainly smileys are down a few places on the “to-do” list.
Please give us time to do the really big things right now, like get this subscription deal happening and sort out the member issues, and look for bugs, and then we’ll start talking bells and whistles, okay?
In the meantime, if you don’t like smileys, don’t use them. I’ll look through the settings and see if the smiley display can be individually turned off; you can turn off other elements of a post, including signatures, if you don’t wish to see them, so perhaps that can make some folks happy.

Yeah, but now all my old posts that used to have the “can you believe this jack@ss?” rolleyes now have the “what a whimsical notion!” rolleyes.
They took away our blow job smilie!
I like 'em much better than the old ones. This one :o looks much more embarrassed than the old one. The others are more clear to me too.
Don’t like the new smilies?
Don’t use them.
Have they switched back the smilies. Or is it because I’ve switched computers?
I see new smilies.
Try going to another site, emptying your cache, and come back.
Bring some pie this time.
Ah ha! The new smilies are now back. Thanks.
Since this instructions are more complicated than my non-tech-savvy brain can handle, I’m guess I’m going to continue to wonder what everyone’s talking about…
Archive Guy , I posted to your question in this thread.
Jerry just changed back to the old smileys.

April 1st?
Oh, I see. It was just an April Fool’s joke.
Ha.
Whoot! I wanted to use that one again!
I’m glad to see the old smiles back. Thanks Jerry!
