Farewell R & K Dope-Fest!

Well, it’s come down to this.

In January, cadolphin and I will be moving to Utah.

In the past 4 years we have met some wonderful Dopers who we would like to see one more time before we leave Southern California.

So, we propose “Farewell R & K” Dope-fest, at what has become our favorite Southern California Straight Doper hangout, Ye Olde Kings Head in Santa Monica. Proposed date is Saturday, December 17th at 7:00PM. Dinner of fish and chips, or bangers and mash, or kidney pie, or any of their wonderful selections, followed by good fellowshipping, renewal of old friendships, and of course, the tearful good-byes as we pack up and move northeast.

I’ll be responsible for reservations. Just let me know if you can attend.

One more time, let’s all get together. If we like you and you don’t show up, we’ll hunt you down and treat you like the dogs that you are.

In other words, Kathy says be there. That’s an order. :smiley:

Well, all I can say is that California’s loss will definitely be Utah’s gain. We welcome you with open arms.

I’m in. I think. The wife gets back from a business trip the 16th, so it will depend on how tired she is, but pencil us in until further notice.

Hmm. So far this looks possible. I’ll run it by the boy and see if he wants to go.

For clarification, this is being held in the Los Angeles area. Travelers will be more than welcome.

We’ll be looking forward to getting to know the Utah dopers and (Las Vegas too), but would like to see the SoCal dopers before we move. :smiley:

I can’t make it on the 17th, but I wish you well on your journey and, on behalf of all Californians, thanks for moving out before the annual influx of Rose Parade-induced new “Californians.” We need the space.
