At any rate, this thread is incredibly, mind-bogglingly stupid. It’s so stupid that if your mother knew you posted it, she’d stop speaking to you. It’s stupid like the results of a collaboration by New Iskander, Clothahump, and Wesley Clark. It’s so stupid, I had to eat a bowl of stupid food just to read it. It’s so stupid that the Knights of Columbus have started taking up a collection to help it. It’s so stupid that George W. Bush is rolling his eyes reading it. It’s so stupid that the other kids in its special class are making fun of it. It’s so stupid that lesser stupidities are now orbiting around it, and the standard model of physics is under revision to accomodate the evidence that stupidity is the fifth fundamental force.
It’s so stupid that reading it made me stupider, and that’s what really pisses me off.
I don’t see a thread in ATMB. Since it’s a suspension (and thus not a sock-related banning), shouldn’t there be a thread? Because I know he’s raised some hackles, but I frankly have to admit I kinda like the guy.
What’s the question? I just politely requested that he keep his cutesy mutual-masturbation-fests out of the pit. Us vicious, bitter, angry pit-dwellers don’t like having the mood broken up by twee crap like this. If you’re making an accusation of junior modding, I can assure you that I only asked for my own benefit. I didn’t suggest anywhere that he was violating the rules - just that he was pissing me off.
This type of thread has been tried several times before in this board’s history, and they have, for some reason, always caused a lot of bad/hurt feelings. They’re just not a good idea.
Of course, they might be a good idea, if the posters around here could refrain from acting like children…
