I’m sorry if this has been covered before…I did Search, but we all know what happens when you search on a three-letter word. Eve hasn’t posted since January, and I miss her posts! I’ve recently read two of her books and am starting a third soon, and I’d like to let her know how much I’ve enjoyed them. Does anyone know what has happened to Eve?
I’ve thought of her a few times myself over the last few weeks and wondered where she’d gotten to.
Eve has a history of dropping off the boards for weeks at a time while she’s wrapped up in some project or hits a crunch time at her job. Sometimes she warns us that it’s coming, often she doesn’t.
Personally, it just makes me appreciate her posting even more when she returns.
I’ve noticed and missed her absence here, too. Hope she’s just immersed in writing another wonderful book.

Her last post was 01-20-2007, 07:35 PM but her Last Activity: Today 06:24 PM.
So she must just be lurking for a while. Wasn’t she finishing up a book?

I’ve been waiting for the next “I miss” thread to ask this! Also, I wondered if any members can give me some perspective on the behavior on some other members. I won’t mention him by name, but there was a member who joined in the middle of December, then posted rabidly (at a rate of almost 30 posts a day) until the middle of February then disappeared. They weren’t troll posts of any of the such, they were usually informative or at least funny posts. Then he was gone. What happened?
Someone posted a thread asking about Eve some time back and another Doper linked to a thread where Eve stated that she wasn’t going to be posting for a while.
It’s too bad, too, as I just read an interesting book on Harold Lloyd, and I’d imagine that she’d be the best person to discuss it with, she being the expert on silent film (and early Hollywood) stars.
Eve posted this in January. I guess she is on a hiatus.

Though of course, originally she didn’t want to join because she thought she wouldn’t have time to post. So it might be that she indeed didn’t.
I was actually just wondering the last few days what happened to Askia. He hasn’t posted in a couple of months either.
Sorry, I haven’t been in here in a few days, I just saw this thread now. When I saw the thread about the NJ Dopefest in June, I sent an e-mail to Eve to ask if she wanted a ride. She replied that things are “Good Hectic and Bad Hectic”. She’s working on her book about Vernon and Irene Castle, “which should be out this fall if she can get the damned edit done and the index…”. And she hasn’t given up ice cream yet.
