There's something wrong with my computer. No matter what I'm doing, The computer pops up a new "Dial Up Networking" dialer window every 5-10 minutes. If I do nothing, it will keep opening more and more instances (my record was 28 at once). I can't figure out what program is trying to dial in. As best I can tell, all winsock applications are fine. The problem, BTW, didn't occur until I upgraded to a newer version of Microsoft WinSock.
Any thoughts? |

If you're using Internet Explorer, this might work:
Open IE, and open the "Tools" menu. Select "Internet Options" and click on the "Connections" tab. Make sure that the "Dial whenever a network connection is not present" button is unchecked for each connection you have. If that doesn't work, it might be something in software you've installed trying to dial up. |
