No book talk please.
Jesus christ Joffrey, the murderboner thing was a fucking joke!
I didn’t like that bit about Roz meeting her end that way and they spent too much time on Theon. Torture =boring.
Great exchange between Lady Oleanna and Tywin though and that between Melisandre and Arya
This was a good episode. Joffrey is pure evil. Poor Roz…
What is that witches plan with Gendry?
She said she needed the blood of a king, which apparently doesn’t mean it has to literally come from the king so being related counts.
Ugh. Somehow I missed that.
It was an episode or two ago when she was bailing on Stannis.
I didn’t catch it, but I’ll pay attention if I rewatch. Apparently Loras says something about French sleeves when talking to Sansa. How did nobody catch that?
How did Melisandre know where to find Gendry? And how far apart were they at the beginning? Because she seemed to get there fairly quickly.
She’s a witch.
I loved how Loras was talking about green and gold brocade fabric for his wedding…haha.
He’d been thinking about it since he was a little girl.
Dreaming about weddings all his life –
So, was it really Joffrey who put out the hit on Tyrion, during Blackwater? I thought it was Cersei.
Great episode, especially the shot at the end. Gorgeous.
they mentioned that Loras was a sword swallower.
My wife and I thought that was odd, so we looked at it again with closed captioning on; apparently what was said was fringed sleeves.
So is Gendry going to become Melisandre’s shadow baby daddy? Sort of a stud for producing them?
I loved the conversation with Ygritte and Jon at the beginning. How she had known all along that he hadn’t turned his back on the Crows, but she didn’t care as long as he was loyal to her.
The Tywin/Oleanna verbal sparring was great. Tyrion’s lament in the next scene was hilarious: “It’s hard to say which of the four of us is getting the worst of this arrangement. Probably Sansa, though Loras will certainly come to know a deep and singular misery.”
I really wish we had been shown Tyrion breaking the news to Sansa and Shae at the same time. I felt really sorry for him.
The trading of barbs between Varys and Littlefinger was great, too. Especially this exchange regarding the iron throne:
Varys: “Ugly old thing.”
Littlefinger: “Yet it has a certain appeal.”
Varys: “The Lyssa Arryn of chairs.”
Certainly looks like it. That, and the close working relationship between sociopaths that he and Littlefinger apparently have, all but confirmed a suspicion I’ve had all along - that Joffrey suddenly ordering Ned’s beheading was only done at Littlefinger’s behest.
Then, what made me certain of it was his megalomaniacal monologue (say that 3x fast) where he was all but twirling his mustache and admiring how all of Westeros has been his bitch. (Shush, bookreaders! No need to tell me that you can’t tell me. :p)
I can’t believe I’m going to compliment GOT but it has had some varied and interesting and realistic female characters. However Ygritte grates on my nerves, I mean I like her but shes a male fantasy, if she isn’t playing Jon I’ll be disappointed.
Is this show ever going to lay any ground rules for the magic? At all? Even cause and effect?
Or was there literally not one drop of magic in realm, and then the comet fell and Dany’s dragons were born and instantly magic was sprouting up everywhere? Shadow demon birthing woman was just a woman a few months prior? HUH? What about the wargs? All that stuff?
I finally realized one of the things that bugged me about the show is the fact we’re never given the “rules”, and then the rules just change.
Nope.
Your complaint makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever.
