Sad. She was my favorite bitch-a-rooney-tooney.
She played the on-again, off-again role of Eric Forman’s older sister Laurie. She also had some drug troubles and apparently died in rehab.
43 is way too young.
She was hot in “That 70’s Show” - I enjoyed the pilot where she said something tacky to Fez(?) who only heard the key words needed to make it sound like to him that she wanted him.
But that article - holy cow - she’s the poster child for Faces of Meth! Poor girl obviously had some demons.

Drying out a hard core alcoholic is always risky. Heart attacks happen even in rehab .
She was 28 when the show started. I didn’t even have to look up her character to guess. Sad. I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more frequently. People with no other job skills are vaulted into a wealthy lifestyle only to have it yanked out from under them in a couple of years. All the time someone hiding in a bush hoping they fail. Tough business.
Very sad. She had that character nailed. Maybe it wasn’t acting, but her appearances on That 70s Show are what Kandi appearances are on 2.5 Men, a special treat.
She was so hot on as Laurie, but her acting and timing were even better. She was perfect as the caustic older sister to Eric and as bored tremptress to Kelso. I think her best moment was her reaction to Eric telling her he saw their parents having sex.
Sad story I’m not surprised by, given what I’ve heard for years about her troubles, going back to when she was kicked off the show.
Actually, it wasn’t yanked from her - more like she threw it away. Her career was thriving until her problems got her kicked off the series, and iirc they were quite patient with her bouts in rehab early on.
My apologies. I didn’t mean to infer it was the show’s fault. I was speaking in the broader sense of the industry where actors get a “big break” on a TV show and then fall flat on their face after it goes off the air. That single show would have probably paid some bills for years afterwards if the actors paced themselves financially.
