Season premiere tonight. You can see the first 4 minutes here. Messrs’ Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, & Conan O’Brien are on Talking Dead.
If the opening was THEN, does that mean Terminus used to be good, but was overrun by bad folks?
Guess so.
Uh, why doesn’t Tyrese kill zombies anymore?
i guess tyresse is still dealing with the fall out from the little girls.
Ok, I admit it. That reunion made me cry.
Holy frak! That was awesome! If the rest of the season is as good we’re in for a great season.
That really felt like it should’ve been the last episode of last season rather than the first of a new one.
Is that it for Terminus? They didn’t fully kill the main dude.
I was thinking that too. I wonder whether some Terminus guys will show up later.
Will Rick be proven right that they should have finished them off and been certain?
That was the single best episode of this show I’ve seen in years. Practically no filler, some decent action and tension, and an actual episode’s worth of plot. Very well done.
Great episode! Are we taking bets on how long until Michonne gets a new katana?
so barbie mary was gareth’s mother?! wow. nice to know they were equal opportunity long pork eaters, turns out that was gareth’s brother being butchered. waste not; want not.
Wait, there was a post credits scene? I turned it off to avoid the “next time” preview I hate to see.
Shoot.
I agree that, hard as it was to look at in some places, that was a well-done episode.
That first scene was a little too close to the recent ISIS beheadings for comfort.
For Mahaloth: yep, there was a brief post-cred scene, featuring a ‘fan favorite’ according to the WD site, but I didn’t recognize the character.
My recording cut off at the post credits scene. Can anyone tell me who was behind the mask? Recording ended just as the person was pulling it off.
It’s our old friend Morgan.
Thank you!
Also now knowing the full story of Terminus makes it a tragic figure. I’m an optimist and was always in the Dale (remember him?) spectrum of morality. It disturbs me to see that side proven wrong again and again in the show.
I thought the episode was great. The one thing that really bothered me was that last season ended with Rick’s implicit promise of some ass-kicking, yet there they were, impotent, hog-tied and bent over the trough. If not for some deus ex machina (×3), Glenn would have been conked.
Otherwise, that was just a little hiccup in a good episode.
ETA: I wonder if the doubters from last season still aren’t convinced that they were cannibals.
They definitely pushed Rick’s button though. Seeing him back shoot the Termites & leaving the wounded for the walkers is something new for him.
