German Dopefest in Bonn, 1 August 2015

After our last Dopefest in Cologne was a small, but very exciting and funny event, we promised ourselves to repeat something like that soon. The dopers centered in and around Cologne, The Butterfly’s Ghost, mkl12 and I stayed in contact, met again yesterday on another beautiful day and agreed to arrange another Dopefest, this time on 1 August 2015 in mkl12’s homestead Bonn. We plan to meet at 4 PM on that day in the traditional restaurant and brewery Bönnsch. Everybody who is interested and can find the time is invited, it’d be great if we could even bring some more people together than the last time. There’s a list of German dopers, participants and interested parties from the last event I will additionally PM the next days with an invitation. I’m excitedly looking forward to meet you on 1 August.

I’ve never been to Bonn… I’d been to Köln but not to Bonn. And I didn’t have any plans for that weekend, so I guess now I do :slight_smile:

Cool, that’ll be great to meet you again, Nava! And I’m sure you’ll be again the one with the furthest travel ;). Btw., Bonn is a nice place, you’ll like it.

Now we only have to get JoseB aboard and we’ll have at least the team from the last meet-up complete, but I’m afraid his car is still at the garage :wink:

Cool initiative. I’d love to come (and being based in Frankfurt, my travel wouldn’t be too far), but Im already signed up for another reunion on that weekend elsewhere, so I’m afraid I have to say no. But it’s surely a great idea, and I’d love to participate some other time!

Thanks for the heads-up, EinsteinsHund! I would love to be there, but I note that you’ve cleverly planned it for two days after I leave the country on vacation. Well played!

I’m really sorry, shantih, and I promise that I didn’t spy out your vacation plans to avoid you having there ;). But yes, we’ll surely repeat something like that some time and I hope you and the others who can’t make it this time will be there then.

Meanwhile, there are still free places at the Bönnsch on 1 August. Come on guys and gals, I heard the Kölsch, pardon, Bönnsch is good there.

Nah, it’s not a war… it’s all the Swedish superusers going on vacation, leaving behind a bunch of subordinates who haven’t been trained properly. Or sometimes, at all.

At least some of them can actually Read The Manual once I dig it from under the piles of paper in their bosses’ desks (some of whom can’t RTFM).
