Roeper’s a tool. A few years ago he said Costner’s Open Range was one of the best Westerns he’d ever seen. Me, muttering at TV: “Ain’t seen a lot of Westerns, then, huh?” Which is not to say Open Range is bad: it’s actually pretty good. But it isn’t anywhere near the All Time Top 30 list for the genre, which Roeper would know if he weren’t, y’know, a tool.
