Just back from a job interview

We used “sac’ed” or “euth” interchangably. When training new students I use “kill” to hammer in how serious this is. The department head isn’t happy with it, but I had him watch me with a 16 year old boy. The kid’s enthusiasm about “dealing death” to mice made him realise that blunt language may be necessary. (I was also trying to get the sick little fucker out of the lab.)

We are tranistioning to a tissue digestor. I hear that its the “latest thing”. Right now, bodies are autoclaved and taken to the dump. Some carcasses are given to the local raptor rehabilitation center, but they have to be very, very “clean” - no chemicals, genetic manipulations, etc.

It does sound miraculous what it can do! $300K, it better be.

I’m amazed that research has many fads and trends as high fashion :dubious:

$300K!!! For that much money, it better bring them back to life!

Have you seen the information out on “cheek vein bleeding” of mice? I will never, ever do this! Guess I’m a crusty ol’ tech.

Glad you went on the interview. Good luck!

I think you handled the discussion of your education and salary as well as it could have been handled. I also think you’ll be hearing from them.

 I stopped reading at “eye bleed”. II’ll stick to spreadsheets, thanks!
