I won’t say that every time you post a hamster dies in vain, but that verges on animal cruelty. That’s his technique. He doesn’t want an answer, of which he received plenty of good ones in that thread, he wants mindless affirmation. But his style is so bitter and caustic (that was the thread in which he threatened to kill me with a scimitar, I think?) that everybody who might agree with him at all has to step his way around it. I am confused as to why the mods seem to want to avoid warning him at all (only been one warning I recall), but there might be something they know that I don’t. I think it’s really weird.

Lawdy I can’t believe I’m about to do this. I and a dozen or so past Pit threads all agree that Alde is pretty much only good for testing your patience and the occassional laugh in your in the mood to laugh at someone whose tactics are so predictable and … well stupid. But that linked thread isn’t even in the running for irritating Aldeisms. He noted that he liked the subject. An unneeded but benign comment. He helped define some terms that the op was confused about and said he’d help more if given some more specific questions rather than tell me about the Ottoman land system. He was even coherent! Heck that’s like the second time I’ve seen him that! Now in the Viva Espanza thread he’s back in Alde style. Yes, I’d read that as a threat on Mehitabel’s life too, but the mods must feel he has some value, and this is their show.
