In the eye? <<shudder>> My mom had corneal replacement surgery and her stitches just wigged me out. But to put charms on your eye?
Excuse me while I have a massive attack of the willies. Ew ew ew ew ew. And here I can’t stand the idea of hard contact lenses.
Yuck!
I am consistently amazed at the lengths people will go to…
And this is coming from someone who had multiple piercings and a tattoo - I am by no means a prude.
Well, it’s better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
(Well, Somebody had to say it.)
“You want to go bungee jumping with your friends? If your friends all jumped off a cliff, would you do it?”
Pretty soon we’re gonna lose all these sarcasms. Reality is carching up.
Then perhaps the people who have them are wanting you to move on to those who are more in line with your way of thinking. It’s a really effective way to get across the concept of ‘Move along, nothing to see here…’ without actually having to pay attention to someone that would inevitably treat you with disdain because your markings didn’t betray those thoughts and words which would simply cause problems down the line anyways.
Now I love my tattooes and piercings even more. Not only do they adorn me and represent my aesthetic perspective, they’re repellant for those who make knee jerk critical statements with no basis in fact.
