Favorite serene or "mellow" songs :)

How about it? About ten years ago Steve Wonder recorded a nice song titled “Overjoyed,” in which the rhythm is maintained by dripping water.
Some others:
“How Insensitive,” by Percy Faith
“Song Sung Blue” by Neil Diamond
“Save the Best for Last” by Vanessa Williams
“When Did You Leave Heaven” by Carmen Lombardo

I just love Van Morrisson’s “Tupelo Honey”.Very laid back and easy to groove to.

Anything by Enya.

Roxy Music
‘Avalon’ and ‘More than this’.
Don’t ask me why.

Van Morrison’s “Moondance” is a great, very laid back CD. I also love the real bluesy Led Zeppelin stuff. Very cool.

Mellow Yellow?

Elle: “Every time we say goodbye i cry a little…”

And then probably more Elle.

2.00 in the morning and the drink’s got to me. Better make that: Ella

Norwegian Wood

Wow, I haven’t thought about
Norwegan Wood in along time.
Excellent song.

I also like a lot of Crosby,Stills
and Nash.“Guinevere” is a nice mellow one.

Oh, and “Riders on the Storm” always
gets me, too.

Anything by Cat Stevens is generally good and laid back. Especially Wild World.

Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead. Freakin’ brilliant.

Scarlet Begonias by The Dead.

I like native American music for mellow. Robbie Robertson has done some great compilations.

If it counts, “Flying Pickets - Only You”.

I love the song *Easy *from those ol’ Commodores.

I’m a Dreamer (Aren’t We All?)

Big Star - Thirteen

“Ten years ago”? Oh, wait—this thread is from 2000. Even then, it was more like 15 years ago. But it is a great song.

Songs that put me in a serene, mellow mood include the Moody Blues’ “Voices In the Sky” and Dire Straits’ “Why Worry.”

When I saw the late ChiefScott’s name upthread, I figured it was more likely a zombie thread than a zombie poster.

And on topic, I’ll second “More Than This.”

Got any mellow songs about Zombies?
