My odd fetishes! Please explain/critique/psychoanalyze!

This thread has been inspired by the recent “explain this sexual kink” thread.

I have always been turned on by “knockout scenes”, at least when they involve an attractive female. I also have a superheroine fetish – I love seeing powerful women in colorful, skimpy costumes! That turns me on more than just seeing a naked girl! I do not find genitalia attractive at all (though I do adore breasts, particularly if they are fairly large) – I don’t know how strange this makes me, I think most guys really like seeing female genitals!

As for as the KO fetish – I have had this since I was a prepubescent. I would get excited at seeing Batgirl get gassed on the Batman TV show when I was seven years old. Right when I first hit puberty, I saw the movie “Claw Monsters” on the Big Show (a feature for B-movies in the Nashville area in the early 1970s) – it was the 1955 serial “Panther Girl of the Kongo” edited down to a ninety-minute TV movie). The lovely Phyllis Coates played a miniskirted jungle girl in this movie, and she got knocked out five times! This really sent my hormones into orbit! I have never been the same since!

Later on, when I was a teenager, Wonder Woman played a major part in my demented paraphiliac fantasies. Lynda Carter in that outfit=Yum! She got knocked out a number of times in the first season (1976-1977), when the show was set during World War 2! These KO scenes got replayed over and over in my brain! (Later on, in the 1980s, Wonder Woman was the first show I recorded on my VCR!)

I used to worry that my fetish meant that I was hostile to women, but I have always gotten along with women very well in real life. Plus, realistic violence (like blood, bruises, cuts, etc.) in a KO scene is a real “turn-off” for me – I like the fantasy element, not the real thing!

I also like to see unconscious women getting carried, both cradle-carry and over-the-shoulder. Bondage is fun to watch too, but the KO and carry appeal to me more!

So – how odd am I? Would any one like to explain or psychoanalyze this particular paraphilia?

There is someone else with that exact same fetish who has posted videos on youtube. They are not graphic, they just show a BBW dressed as Wonder Woman walking around an abandoned area and then getting captured and knocked out. The wonder woman and her husband have produced a few of these videos to share and, based on the responses, there are others into the fetish as well. I just did a quick google search and found plenty of websites devoted to the subject, so you shouldn’t have a problem finding material. Based on the number of girls involved in these things who are eager participants, I bet you could find an SO who would be interested in playing out these fantasies.

Lucia: Vagina, vagina, vagina. Does that word do anything for you?
Bill Truitt: I don’t think it does much for anyone, gay or straight.

While I haven’t run across the “woman knocked out” fetish, I have noticed that there are a few “women/superheroine in peril” websites out there, so apparently other folks share that part of your fetish.
By the way, I don’t know that it’s true that “most guys like to look at female genitals”. For my part, I’m neither attracted nor repelled. I’m more turned on by other portions of the female anatomy.

If you know anybody with a stack of old Bizarre magazines, you might want to poke through them (the magazines, I mean). One issue a while ago had an article about the “superheroine” fetish. There have also been articles on a variety of other fetishes; I don’t recall one specifically on the “knockout” fetish, but it does…err…ring a bell.

Incidentally, I think it’s very common for people to be turned on by a fantasy that is somehow unrealistic, and turned off by elements of realism/hearing about something similar happening in real life.

Perhaps it’s that seeing the action of someone knocked out or otherwise in peril is inherently exciting, and that generalized excitement makes sexual excitement easier?

There’s a great book that, I think, talks about both superhero/heroine and knocked out fetishes: http://www.amazon.com/Deviant-Desires-Incredibly-Strange-Sex/dp/1890451037

If you are looking for online stuff, Risque Renee (just google it) has bunches of videos from that genre, as do several other fetish sites.

And, upon rereading, I realized I ignored the second half of your OP. I have a similar kink, although mine is not a fetish because it’s not my primary fantasy. I used to get a thrill when watching the Batman Animated Series whenever Robin was captured by the badguys and Batman had to go save him. It’s an aspect of BDSM, the Bondage and Dominance part. Heroines/heros are very powerful people and to have control of them is to have control of a lot power. The method of capture is non-violent which suggests that you do not want to risk hurting them when gaining complete control. If the women do not wake up in your fantasies and you molest them while they are still knocked out, you probably have a sense of shame about your sexual feelings. You can try branching out and exploring other areas included in Dominance but if you have truely made this a fetish and can not get aroused unless you imagine/see this exact senario then it will take a long time for other ideas to be equally as arousing.

A lot of people have fantasies about things they would never try in real life. It’s not a problem unless you have trouble finding another partner to play act these fantasies with you. The reason I suggest branching out is not because I think your fantasies are harmful or bad but simply because you will find more porn and have a better chance of finding sexual partners if you have a less exact kink.

This may be an odd question to ask, but I’ll ask it anyway.

Do you imagine yourself as the perpetrator with the chloroform cloth? Or do you imagine yourself as the scantily-clad victim who is being overpowered? That is to say, disregarding gender for a moment, are you in control, doing the action, or are you giving up control and having the action done to you?

I am usually just the observer! Normally (or not!), I fantasize about Wonder Woman getting KOed by some opponent and carried off to his lair, where she is stripped of her belt, tiara, and bracelets and tied up! Every once in a while, I put myself into the action either as her triumphant opponent or her rescuer (a “Steve Trevor”-type who revives her and manages to sneak her magical implements back to her, thus enabling her to get free and beat her opponent.

Sometimes I envision the action like a TV show, with Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman. At other times, I visualize the KO/capture sequence as a series of comic book panels. I enjoy all types of KO, including chloroform, gas, energy blasts, blackjacks to the noggin, punchouts, sleeper-holds, magical energy-draining spells, the works (as long as it doesn’t involve bruises, blood, scars, etc. which would deprive the superheroine of her beauty).

The general region? (hips) with a V gorgeously upholstered in soft girlfur enclosed between them, the little airgap right under the V where the thighs curve away from either? Beautiful, wonderful, yummy, delicious. Pretty nice also when wrapped in blue jeans

Labia turned inside out and spread so you can look back in search of a cervix? Umm, no, that belongs in an OB - GYN textbook.

Sometimes I commission artists to portray my KO fantasies. My favorite (and most expensive) piece of art I have ever commissioned is on the Al Rio website – www.alrioart.com. Go to “quick Keyword Search”, select “Wonder Woman” and then go to page three. The bottom right picture, “Wonder Woman vs. the Invisible Monster”, is the one I had Al do for me! I may not be a good artist, but I have a great imagination – it is a great OTS carry of an unconscious Wonder Woman! Al did a wonderful job of bringing my fantasy to life! What do you think?

I think I know who you are talking about! They used to have a Yahoo Group (I belong to hundreds of them – lots of Wonder Woman/superheroine fetish material in these groups!). The woman was too big to be much of a turn-on for me! Is that what you mean by BBW?

There are a lot of guys on some of the message boards I frequent who like “chloro scenes” where the heroine gets knocked out with chloroform, and a lot of guys like carry scenes, especially scenes where a guy carries a girl over his shoulder (they even have an abbreviation for it, OTS). I’m pretty sure there are some sites for it.

There are also a lot of guys who don’t dig nudity at all in their bondage scenes. There are plenty of sites where women are bound either fully clothed or in underwear.

And of course there are a LOT of guys who have a superheroine fetish, including plenty of sites that cater to them.

You are not alone at all, while I wouldn’t call it a commonplace fetish, it’s not freakin’ rare, like the guy whose posts I once encoutered who liked videos of women in high heels stomping on auto accelerators.

Maude: Does the female form make you uncomfortable, Mr. Lebowski?
The Dude: Uh, is that what this is a picture of?
Maude: In a sense, yes. My art has been commended as being strongly vaginal which bothers some men. The word itself makes some men uncomfortable. Vagina.
The Dude: Oh yeah?
Maude: Yes, they don’t like hearing it and find it difficult to say whereas without batting an eye a man will refer to his dick or his rod or his Johnson.
The Dude: Johnson?

I saw a nude model once that really caught my eye (as in real modelling, not true porn). I Googled her and found her in a line of fetish movies specializing in exactly what you are describing. They weren’t exactly sexual per say and it didn’t look like there wasn’t any nudity either so you must not be the only one. It didn’t do it for me but I made a mental note of it anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it because this one seems downright normal. At least you aren’t a furry.

Surely this is a classic example of “damning with faint praise.”

Oh, I always knew that I am not alone in having this fetish! Even when I was a kid, I figured there were other people out there who shared my kink! I just did not know how many there were or how prevalent my particular obsession was! One of my close friends was into bondage scenes, but KOs did nothing for him. I knew that my fetish probably only appealed to a small percentage of the population.

I got on the internet in 1997. One of my first discoveries was “The Chloroforum”. I also joined a bunch of Yahoo Groups relating to my fetish. Sometimes you can spend so much time on such sites that you forget that your fetish will probably be seen as unusual by the general population. That is why I posted about it – to see what you guys think!

Interesting. I’ve had a similar “thing” (I won’t call it a fetish because it’s not sexual–it just gives me a little thrill up my spine) since I was a very young kid–except that I’m female and I always loved watching my favorite character (almost always male, sometimes the hero, sometimes the villain) get knocked out or otherwise abused. I always knew the parts of my favorite books or TV shows where something happened to my chosen character (for example, Spock in “Star Trek”) and my favorite episodes/editions were always the ones where the character took the most abuse. I was always rooting for them to lose fights.

I don’t worry about this because, like gytalf2000, I never get even the least bit excited by real-life violence. It’s just the fantasy element that I enjoy. I think I started writing in grade school so I didn’t have to wait for TV or books–I could inflict punishment on characters whenever I liked.
