This is a pit worthy snarky comment? I can’t even say something this mild about a ridiculous and annoying sig? The fucking thing is even in bold. It’s pretty much on the same level of “fucked up things the board can do without” as the Google Ads. It’s probably a good time it be changed or unbolded or at least not used in multiple posts in a thread.
Was it really so bad of a suggestion? Was it so insulting or vile that I can only say such a thing in its very own pit thread? That’s pretty stupid. I’d have to start an entire thread devoted to some loser’s signature? I think a playful one line side comment in MPSIMS is pretty damn innocent. Sorry, it really wasn’t worth it’s very own pit thread.

I agree that it was hardly too snarky for any forum, it was snarky, but not too snarky. But, **SkipMagic ** did not give you a warning, just a mod note. What is a mod note exactly?

Skip can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t a Warning. We’ll usually explicitly mention whether an infraction has resulted in a Warning, either in the message text or post title. The fact that Skip’s post title said “Mod Note:” does not automatically imply a Warning. In response to poster feedback, we try to explicitly label all posts in which we’re acting in an official capacity to prevent any possible confusion about our posts as regular posters.
You can still be pissed off that he wouldn’t let you bitch at Bosda in MPSIMS for his sig (which is admittedly really annoying) if you want.
To begin with, it wasn’t a warning; I didn’t hand out a warning because a one-off snarky comment that isn’t a direct insult doesn’t usually merit a warning. (Case-by-case basis, though.)
But the thread was about a problem a poster was having with his computer; you came in there to hijack the thread by throwing in a snarky comment that had zilch to do with the OP (thus, “hijack”).
The Pit is a perfectly good forum for venting your frustrations over someone’s signature. If you don’t want to start a thread; if you feel the signature isn’t worth the Pit investment, then fine. Just keep your snarky hijacks out of MPSIMS.
