10/10/10

Yes, the date is quickly arriving.
One interesting little tidbit from Las Vegas is the gimmick that The M Resort is running that day (10/10/10).
If you are playing video poker and get four 10’s, you can win extra money!
For example, if you are playing maximum coins (5) on any machine, and hit four 10’s you would win an extra $100 on a dollar machine, $25 on a quarter machine or $5 on a nickel machine.
For anyone who has ever played video poker, you know that four 10’s is not particularly common, but again - no more difficult to hit than any other four of a kind.
Fun gimmick and I am sure lots of people will go to that casino to play that day.

So - what are your plans for 10/10/10?

Funny you should ask . . .

Our local running club is hosting a 10-10-10 fun run, and we’re going!

Held on 10-10-10 at 10:10 am
Cost: $10.10
Choice of 10K or 10M run
Along Highway 10

How cool is that? (Notice that there are 10 10s.)

Even cooler, the day before is Mr. S’s 55th birthday, he was born in 1955, and we’re going to run a 5K together (another pair of 5s).

Waiting for the obligatory baby born at 10:10.

One thing i’ll be doing, apart from watching football, is upgrading my computers to Ubuntu 10.10.

At 10:10AM on 10/10/10, I will have been at the NorCal Renaissance Faire for 10 minutes.

The attraction where I work is kicking off its 10th anniversary by offering 10 cent admission all day. In addition, they are offering $10.00 off of any level of yearly membership. We NEVER discount…so this is pretty cool for us! (Free cupcakes, too!!)

101010 is 42 in binary. Just sayin’.

There ought to be some creature with the measurements of 10-10-10. Maybe we can find one by then.

The old Bob Cummings Show (late 50’s) had a recurring role for Nancy Kulp where she was said to have 25-25-25 measurements.

Feel free to disregard this post and all it implies about the world. It’s just for the sake of following other developments here.

I’ll be celebrating my daughter’s fifth birthday.

(yes, it would be more fun if it were her tenth ;))

If one is born then around here, I know where he should live when he grows up.

It’s called that because while it was still rural, it was designated secondary state highway 1010, and picked up the name as suburbia expanded to include it.

You mean that Sunday, we’ll learn the Real Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything?

Sorry, our purpose is to find the Question.

My birthday is 10/9/10.

As usual, I’m just shy of making it.

My wife’s coworker is getting married on 10/10/10 at 10:10. We were invited but have other obligations.

Depending on the the time and place of your birth, it’s possible that it was already 10/10 somewhere in the world.

I’ll be celebrating my birthday - presumably I’ll be out at brunch. I’m going for a 10 mile run the previous day

In my case, Maryland Renaissance Festival. It’s Oktoberfest weekend!

I’ll be working :frowning:

But when I get home I’m going to crack open the Champagne as it will be my birthday:)

My son is leading the rollout of Bus Rapid Transit in Manhattan on 10-10-10. The BRT will go up first and down second aves. The reason for the date is not its auspices, but it gives them two light traffic days in a row to work out the kinks.

Drat, my youngest daughter will be 8 on 10/9/10 and my oldest, 10 on 10/11/10…so close. :frowning:
