10/10/10

The US dating format sucks. Today is 10/10/10, not 10/10/10.

Yes, 10 years ago

Or Douglas Adams day. Or Jackie Robinson/Mariano Rivera day.

10/10/10 Day

Add me to the list of people born 10/10. I was also born 10pounds 10 ounces if a few tens needed to be thrown in

I just played Deal or No Deal on GSN’s web site and picked case #10 for being 10/10/10; it had 10 Oodles points in it (I took the deal for a higher amount, though). Since I was at work at 10:10 this morning, I’m going to observe the moment when 10:10 PM comes around.

Speaking of 10-10, whatever became of all those 10-10-xxx phone numbers that used to be advertised a few years ago?

My daughter (not a doper) had her 9th birthday on 10-10. Her birthdate is 10-10-01.

Cell phones, pretty much. Long distance stopped being a valuable item and became just another commodity. Remember when it was best to call family on Sunday evenings after 6:00pm 'cause that was when the LD rates were cheapest?

So did my non-Doper nephew, born the same day as your daughter. The Princess and I attended a pizza party in his honor a couple hours ago.

…what, nobody’s figured out my riddle? (See post #35, above.)

I couldn’t possibly be the geekiest one here…

A group of us restaged the picnic that’s the opening shot of the Powers of Ten (youtube video of it) film all about scale.
Mid-October is not the time to have a picnic outside in the Meadows in Edinburgh! brrrr. Fortunately, we had an indoor plan to fall back on!

The ASCII code for “*” is 42 in decimal, which, as has been already pointed out, is 101010 in binary.

DING DING DING! We have a winner!

Believe it or not, however, I’m not the first geek to think of it:
