Isn’t that the one where they get thrown in jail after they admit to stealing the balloon, only to be let out five seconds later? Something about “if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime!”
I watch it and am not ashamed to admit I love it. Am I the only one who was creeped out by the screaming guy in the “Chocolate with Nuts” episode?
“CHOCOLATE!”
“…aaaaand time’s up!”
“Which one of you flatfoots stole my balloon?”
Absolutely any episode that has the Bikini Bottom Police Force is pure gold:
-“Die Zombie!”
“Good police work, officer Nancy.”
-“If you can’t do the time, don’t do the time…ok, time’s up. Now get out.”
-“Well buckle up and we’ll drive reeeeeal smooth-like” (cop floors it and screeches away)
-“Don’t worry, SpongeBob. He won’t be able to strangle you.”
“Yeah. We got him chained up real good. He’ll never get away.”
“Oops, not again.”
“Yep, he got away.”
My favorite part of that episode is when Patrick and Spongebod were sitting next to a fire and Patrick says, “Spongebob, if we’re underwater how can there be a fire?”
The moment he says that the fire goes out.
After hitting what we assume is a criminal with their nightsticks:
“Well, that oughta straighten him out.”
Cut to reveal that what they were hitting was a bent parking meter.
Here’s the VH1 special: Square Roots, from the directors of I.O.USA.
My favorite was the box that made sounds effects and the ending.
Big fan of the show. Introduced to SBSP when I had my son, who’s six now. Some of my favorite lines/shows:
Sandy to Patrick: “Don’t you have somewhere else to go and be stupid?”
Patrick to Sandy: “Not until 4!”
Plankton (in Fry Cook Games) to Patrick: “Go ahead and show 'em how the common man makes his frozen dairy treats!” In response to Spongebob’s Toasted Almond coating (“That’s unexpected!”)
Karen explaining how she and Plankton met: “Plankton and I met when he first installed me.” Plankton: “It was only our third date!”
Finding out Plankton’s first name is S H E L D O N.
The Spongebob Movie: “I have ridden the Hasselhoff…”
“All Double Bubble Blowing Babies will be beaten senseless by the patrons of the bar.”
The “Kevin” episode.
I could go on. But I won’t. I’m a huge Simpsons fan, but I only watch and love the first 10 seasons of Simpsons. Spongebob is still on the watch list.
Oh, and have you ridden the Firey Fists 'O Pain? I’ll stop now.
That has to be my favorite SB clip. The music and video reminds me of the “Nudie Cutie” movies from the 50’s and 60’s.
Nickelodeon had a Spongebob Marathon all weekend… even their sister networks were mentioning it on their channels… CMT mentioned the marathon on their countdown.
Mr Krabbs: I hate to be the one to tell you this, but that hat makes you look like a girl
Spongebob: Am I a pretty girl?
It’s been two days, this thread isn’t dead yet! I just saw that Krabs bought a retirement home and made it the Krusty Krab
Quick Patrick! If you could have anything in the world at all, what would it be?
MORE TIME FOR THINKING!
–
Plankton, on teleporting out after another failed krabby patty secret recipe stealing attempt:
- Good bye you guys, I will remember you all in therapy!
–
Patrick! your genius is showing!!
Patrick [Looking around his person]: Where?!
–
Patrick and Sponge are held captive in The Flying Dutchman’s ship. They plan an escape:
“We can’t go that way, it’s through the… PERFUME DEPARTMENT!”
Sponge : “It’s a risk we will just have to take.”
–
I like the Dunces and Dragons episode.
Way too much to re-post here. They cover nearly every Middle-Earth / Medieval ages reference.
I used to HATE SB, the whole show just seemed lame, until I caught a few clips, and saw how they were able to sneak in all sorts of obscure references and subversiveness
from “Sailor Mouth”
There are Thirteen words you should never use!
I thought there were only seven
Not if you’re a sailor
I’ve heard of the underwater fire reference, what episode is that from?
then there’s this little gem The voice talent from Spongebob dub some classic movies
out of all the characters, I find Patrick to be the most amusingly obtuse one, sorta’ like Gir from Invader Zim
The Character archetype of Patrick is a fun one.
On the face, he appears quite dim, but there are rare shining moments, where he delivers the most perfect statements, that, seem to cross over from the insane, to the ingenious.
“The Inner machinations of my mind are an enigma”
Indeed.
Plankton: “And do you know what I would like for my birthday?”
Sponge: “A Booster seat?”
Plankton: “A Booster seat? Hot Dog!!, no… no. I want a krabby patty.”
Then agian, I believe that’s from Walking Tall. One of the better episodes. The amount of mileage that Sponge and Plankton get on “Assertiveness Lessons” is just amazing.
“Excuse me Sir, you are siting on my face, which is also my body”
“That’s great spongebob, now assert yourself!”
::Spongebob inserts his hand into the random fish’s pocket:: “Beep Beep”
No no Spongebob, I said Assertive, not INsertive!
The Beep Beep moment gets me every single time. Just the perfect amount of extra in the scene.
Also from the same Episode:
Plankton: Spongebob, you need to be a stand up man.
Sponge [holding a microphone] : But what is it with airline food? I mean come on!
And then, there are the other examples of being assertive:
Plankton: Look Sponge, there is the guy that stole your Ice Cream! Let him have it!
Sponge: Hey, that’s my Ice cream!! But, you can have it!
And
Plankton sees a Fish with a metal detector. “Spongebob, go tell that guy to fall in a ditch!”
Spongebob : “Hey man, go check in that ditch!” [Which of course, has a half buried treasure chest.]
Plankton: No no, I mean, tie him in knots!
Sponge: Hey, come back here, or, I’ll … I’ll tie your shoes!
Random Fish (shouting from the ditch) “I’m wearing sandals!”
