This lad is probably getting more ass than a toilet seat as a result of this posting. I think he is probably reluctant to end the interview process. He claims to have achieved “wealth” and “his own home” but boasting about home ownership is a distinctly middle class trait. He seems to have ten grand to piss away but of great significance is the fact that he must marry before he coughs up. It’s a scam; a con game; a hobby. Never underestimate the lengths men will go to to get laid. You’ve all heard of “stalkers”, this guy’s a “trapper”. (just my personal opinions humbly submitted for your entertainment)
My visceral, knee-jerk reaction is that he is gay and in denial about it.
I could easily be wrong here, but you know what they say about first impressions.

a few months ago there was a big executive down in the states that was accepting resumes for the position of “wife”… he hired a team of people to delve through the information and set up interviews because he didnt have time…the girls were interviewed and then the “lucky” ones got to have dinner with him. He found that even though he had women from all over the u.s. and canada… not one met his qualifications…for me if the butt head didnt have time to be part of the process… how the hell would he have time for a wife?? there are definitely some losers in this world… I think the great executive found out that money doesnt buy happiness… or a wife!!

Man, you guys are so cynical. You might be right, he might be gay or just looking for sex (funny combination of possibilities!) But I’ve known plenty of reasonably successful, nice men who have no idea how to meet women. I’m like that myself except that I’m not reasonably successful.
If I had $10,000 to spare, I probably wouldn’t do what this guy is doing, since I’d just figure no one would take me seriously and all the cynics would gather on BBSs to speculate on what the hell was wrong with me. But I admire this guy’s innovative spirit. Most people in his place would just be content to be a tramp until his teeth fell out, and then get a nurse/wife for his twilight years.
If the guy is serious, why doesn’t he join a dating service or go to a matrimonial agency?
Or go to any kind of singles organization?
I don’t know him, so I won’t presume to judge his motives, but my first impression would be that it’s a “publicity stunt”. But hey, if it works for him, why not?
