13 inches of snow. Fuck snow.

Not to snow on your parade of aerosol cans or anything, but one of the predicted results of global climate change is that some areas will get significantly more snow. Sorry about that.

What if I don’t want it? We have to fight.

It’s raining here in the Chicago are. The ground was already pretty wet and the storm sewers are clogged with leaves, so the rainwater isn’t draining away. It’s supposed to turn to snow later today, ensuring that tomorrow morning I’ll have to slog through a disgusting, slippery mush of gutter water and snow. Think Satan’s own Slurpee ™.

At least I got around to buying new waterproof insulated boots LAST week.

Sorry – all tuckered out from doing that a few weeks ago. A group of us used pickups and trailers to move Zamboini snow from local arenas to a small hill for a ski-a-thon.

High is supposed to be 72F today. A storm system is coming through tonight. Looks like I better batten down the hatches:

:dubious:

Harmonius, I’ll trade you a tornado for your foot of snow. Deal?

We had six inches of snow last night. I just went out to shovel I didn’t have to do anything! It is brilliant sunshine and the snow is melting away even though it is only 27° out.

I love Colorado!

How about you take the snow and build a tornado shelter out of it?

We have had a couple days like today, all day rain. If it were cold enough we would be snowed in.

Reminds me of the Drew Carey bit where he’s standing outside spraying an aerosol can into the sky saying, “Fuck the grandkids. I’m cold now.”

We had some shovelable snow before Thanksgiving and then more on Saturday. Pennsylvanians seem to forget how to drive in it from year to year.

I hate snow. I hate very cold weather. I don’t know why I live here.

I wish my mountain bike wouldn’t have burned up with the garage. I would still be biking to work. Can’t do that with my skinny tired road bike. So a 30 minute bike commute home from the University of Minnesota turns into a hour long drive because all the yahoos that can’t drive decide they should take the back roads home.

At least I have a vehicle now.

Reminds me of the cartoon where the pissed-off guy is on the phone to the weather centre saying “I thought you’d like to know that I’ve just spent two hours shovelling three feet of ‘rather cloudy’ off my drive!”.

You guys got shovelable snow up there on Saturday? All we got was a dusting…it was melted away by Saturday afternoon.

We got 6 inches of snow last Sunday (let me recommend Sunday snowfalls - I think just about everyone just stayed in), and we’re due for temps around -30ºC soon (forecast for Monday, but we’ll see). Oh, winter. Someday, I swear, I will no longer have to deal with you. I hope all you Arizonans don’t mind another Snowbird coming down.

Saturday night through Sunday morning it was 1F at the house. I have a compact florescent bulb in the garage I’m testing for cold compatibility. It worked.

Hmmm… sounds like a plan! :stuck_out_tongue:

This winter is shaping up to be just as bad or even worse than last winter, and I don’t know if I can take it anymore. I’m also tired of people who complain about people who complain about the snow. We have 4 more months of this bs and I’ll bitch if I want to, dammit!!

I love driving in this stuff. Got 4-wheel drive and a fresh set of snow-grabber tires.
Weeeeeeeeeee!!!

I supposedly snowed here a few years back but I was out and about that day and didn’t see anything. I think it melted before it hit the ground. I can’t imagine what people would do here if snow actually accumulated on the road. Everyong freaks out and starts driving like they’re in a demolition derby on the rare occasions that it rains.

That can’t be true. I’ve seen pictures of that snow stuff on television, and it’s all feathery & stuff. Can’t you use one of those snow-blower things?

More seriously: I am so glad I am not you. Snow is my enemy,.
