Apologies - I’ve been sick - package will go out this weekend

My package is in the mail for a point west of Nashville. 
That’s a lot of ground!
Mine should be going out Tuesday.
I got a shotglass!!! Well, not just a glass, but some stuff to fill it up with.
missred sent me a shotglass with “I Love Tennessee” on it. In addition there are two small jars of Ol’ Smoky Moonshine, and a small bottle of Jack Daniels. Now, I’ve tasted many different tipples, but none of these three, so this coming weekend I’ll have some fun!

Ok, mine just went out 2-day USPS. Sorry for the delay, I was hoping for enough packing material to re-use from Amazon shipments etc. but that didn’t pan out so I had to grab some today and get on the ball! At least it’ll be there in time for the weekend?
And once again this year, I was in such a wrapping zone that I forgot to add a note until there were layers and layers of paper and tape!
So whoever gets a package with Kansas City stuff on Thursday, well that’s from me. Enjoy!
Omg I literally just realized I sent the package with absolutely nothing about my recipient or myself in it.
Long story short: I sent it from work and was all ready to do it myself, but my coworker (who runs a side business of ebay selling) said “oh I have stuff I need to send, throw it with my stuff and the company will pay the shipping instead of you!” So I was all “I don’t have to spend money? Hellz yeah!” So I threw the box together and shipped it out.
No note. No “hey how are ya.” No actual return address.

So if you get a package sometime soon and it’s just a random-ass box with nothing but your name on the cover and some goodies from Orlando…it’s me.

The shot glass is from The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas - plastic inner and outer cups with what looks to be crackled bits of plastic in between - very cool!
And waaaaay too much other stuff! A Star Wars coloring book with colored pencils, a Tetris sticker set, a mosaic cat picture thingie, an Alien Free Jerky key ring, 3 packets of heirloom seeds, a pack of coasters, a box of 4 Penzey’s spices, and a notebook that will be perfect for my purse! I’m overwhelmed!!!
And at the risk of insulting all the other goodies, the notebook is my instant favorite. I can’t count how many times I’ve scrounged in my purse for a receipt so I could jot something down. No more!! YAY!!

Ugh. I’ve really been slacking. Usually I try to send out my package of goodies as soon we get our recipients contact info but this year <insert lame excuses/>
Anyway, I’m heading into The Big City tomorrow morning for a Dr. appointment and will stop by the local swag store and finish putting together The Box.
So any Dopers still waiting for a package of goodies, fear not. It’s coming soon.

Huzzah! deedeeknowit and I struck gold because a couple of our fellow Dopers went above and beyond.
First, Sir T-Cups: You just made deedee’s day. Hell, week. She has decided that the stuffed shrimp inside the shot glass is her new lucky charm for Vegas next month. The Sea World glass/jar is up on the bookcase, the Disney magnet on the freezer and the smile is on her face. Thank you!
And now for this year’s winner of above and beyond - Sicks Ate: Dude, I’m amazed! You not only made my weekend, but you made getting wired in Vegas next month (see above) much easier. Kansas City shot glass. Kansas City pint glass. Local vodka and espresso vodka for the former. A can of local pale ale and a can of local saison for the latter. Saison, for Ghu’s sake! One of my favorite summer brews. And then another shot glass (which by the way cracked my wife up!) All wrapped up by someone with serious bondage issues. 
The saison is going to be Saturday’s breakfast beer. Thank you so much!

Awesome! Glad it got there. Apologies again for my lack of pretty much anything personal about her or myself. In case you didn’t get the joke, the shotglass was a shrimp cocktail (get it?). The SeaWorld glass is from their new major “Please dear God come into our parks” food festival (it worked too…revenue up 16%) and the magnet is mostly because between Mrs. Cups and I we are drowning in 10,000 AP magnets…figured it’s just silly enough for someone across the country to want!
Gotta pop back in to say the handy little notebook was just what I needed today! I got a call while on the way home, so I pulled into a parking lot and jotted down the info I needed to make a call before 4PM. Then I made the call. YAY!
Well…um…ahem…errr…it all made it there in one piece, right?

Arrived! I love that a coozie was included, I actually like to collect those too. It’s coozie-ing a beer as I type.
Looks like I’m a temporary hockey fan, with a Carolina Hurricanes shotglass as well as some team trading cards.

So I was later getting my package out than I had hoped, obviously. But… it’s finally been sent!
However, I pulled a Sir T-Cups and forgot to put a note in the package. My name and SDMB handle is on the return address, however, so when a Doper across the pond receives a package in a couple of weeks with some Oregon goodies in it, it should be obvious its from me. Still, mea culpa.
