1970s jingles

N-E-S-T-L-E-S Nestles makes the very best CHOOOOCCCCOOOLATTTE.

It’s not a cola,
It’s something much much more.
It’s not a root beer -
there are root beers by the score.
Drink Dr. Pepper,
the joy of every boy and girl.
It’s the most original
soft drink ever
in the
whole
wide
world.

Nestles put out a white chocolate bar in the 80’s and had a hauntingly lovely jingle for it:

“Nestles makes the very best
N E S T L E S
A dream as sweet as this
N E S T L E S
Creamy white
Dreamy white
Nestles makes the very best
N E S T L E S”

It played over images of an oddly beautiful woman in a flowing white dress on a big swing and then in a white fur coat looking longingly into the camera.

I actually recorded that one.

Once upon a time there was an engineer
Choo Choo Charlie was his name, we hear.
He had an engine and he sure had fun
He used Good & Plenty candy to make his train run.
Charlie says “Love my Good & Plenty!”
Charlie says “Really rings my bell!”
Charlie says “Love my Good & Plenty!”
Don’t know any other candy that I love so

[tapping foot impatiently] Well? :dubious:

:stuck_out_tongue:

Ask any mermaid you happen to see:
What’s the best tuna?
Chicken of the Sea!

Sorry Charlie!

Ay, yi, yi, yi!
I am the Frito Bandito!
Give me Fritos corn chips and I’ll be your friend.
The Frito Bandito you must not offend!

I love Fritos corn chips, I love them I do
I want Fritos corn chips, I’ll get them from you!

It’s just a tagline form a anti-drug program in the DC-MD area in the 70’s, but they would insert it into whatever dead air time they had as a PSA. I still remember the catch phrase.

New Genesis -" Feeling Good About Me Now That I’m Drug Free."

Anti-drug PSA
Why do you think they dall it ‘dope’?

Here comes Koogle with the Koo Koo Koogly eyes.
Here comes Koogle with the Krafty nutty surprise!

(A song advertising a “Chocolate,” “Vanilla,” and “Banana” flavored peanut butter like substance which disappeared from the market once kids actually tasted it.)
