Once I heard about sleep paralysis, and it’s ability to give people visions (I get it too), and to see things that aren’t there, and how many people it affects, suddenly a ton of the “viewings” of aliens, spaceships, demons, ghouls, and so much more made sense to me.
I have seen some pretty freakin amazing and scary stuff in those moments that stretch to hours. If I was at all credulous I could believe I had actually seen those. But instead, it is a perfectly valid mental issue. Accompanied by, as it says on the tin, paralysis. Abduction by aliens? Yes, I could see people imagining that! And it is telling that we didn’t have any alien abductions until the idea of aliens had permutated the general consciousness. Before that it was DEMONIC POSSESSION.
Yes, there is more to this world than that meets the eye. But we are discovering more each day. I just don’t believe there is anything that we won’t eventually figure out, provided we don’t shut our eyes to science and become blinded in the pursuit of something else. Or blow ourselves up.
