Major thunderstorm, pouring rain with a bit of hail mixed in.
Then the regional alert on our phones went off: Tornado warning.
Only lasted 5 minutes and now is cancelled. Rain and thunder are over as well.

We had one yesterday in Santa Fe, remarkably. I moved here to be out of range of hurricanes and North Korean missiles, but there’s always something.
You WHAT? Santa Fe, NM? I’ve gotta put down the video games and watch the news now and then, I guess.
We’ve had 6 already. Here in tornado alley life is a trip.
Wow. Here in western Pennsylvania we’ve had no rain for a week, and none is expected over the next 10 days. We were going to kayak a stream today, but water levels suck.
We had our first tornado warning a couple weeks ago. The cell phone and DVR went beepers.
The first couple of cells passed to our NW. Then a really scary one passed to our SE. I went out on the porch a few times to check the sky during the last pass by. There was a large flock of swifts (or some such) circling erratically overhead. Scary looking sky to the SE. But not much action.
Since then there’s been a caution up to watch for sporadic severe weather almost every day.
On our way home last Wed. we noticed white stuff here and there on the ground as we entered our subdivision. The patches got bigger as we got closer to home.
Hail. Pea-sized. It piled up against the base of the garage door several inches. When I went to close the door the stuff the car knocked in triggered the blocking detector. There was still a trace of some hail in the deep shaded parts the next morning despite temps being in the 50s overnight.
A lot of thunder last night. But only .04" of rain.
