Yeah, I call foul. I’d certainly expect a banana to break a window…
I see this being said slowly and seriously by a balding, bearded professorial type in a tweedy jacket holding a pipe.
So what made you so frustrated that you threw a nanner through the window?
It wasn’t mooshy ripe nor hard & green, but somewhere in the middle. And I suppose if I thought it would hit the window, I’d conclude it would crack it, but not necessarily break right through the way it did.
This was eliminated way back, but I think it would’ve been funny if the object were a bottle of Windex.
This s*it is bananas!
If you haven’t already, check out 20q.net. 'sawesome.
What I find interesting is that the hole it made wasn’t very large. Unless it was one of the rather small varieties of banana, that puppy must have gone through head first. ArchiveGuy, did you lob it like you were throwing a dart or football, or did you have hold on one end and it managed to spin around and hit the window on an end?
But is it B-A-N-A-NA-S?
This all begs the question: Why were you throwing a banana in the first place?
Well, I was on my knees and threw the banana like a boomerang (sort of sidesweeping a la Rollie Fingers). I didn’t think I threw it that hard, but POP!
Well, I wasn’t having a very good morning. I had just got back from the dentist (there is nothing on this planet I hate more), I had fallen down the stairs, and the lunch I made for work had been put away by my wife who felt obliged to clean the house before the housekeeper arrived. Not able to find said lunch, I was rummaging through the fridge & freezer when a bunch of bananas (having been precariously balanced on top of the fridge by the Mrs. in her pre-housekeeper cleaning frenzy) fell on my head as I was kneeling in front of the fridge. One banana came loose and I just let it fly out of frustration. I was already late for work, but breaking the window made me even later (though I had to laugh about it while sweeping up the shards). The story made it easier for her to forgive the expense as well–I’m a pretty boring guy, so any funny anecdote she can readily exploit is always welcome.
