2005 cavalier (actually cobalt)

I know that many of you probably don’t like gm products, but here is the future cavalier. They are changing it’s name next year to cobalt.

What do you think of it.

Please, no trolling.

I assume you have some reason for asking other than having people comment on how sharp it looks?

If you are thinking about buying a Cavalier, I think I’m probably the perfect person for you to talk to. My father works for GM, my mother owned a Cavalier for eight years, my husband owns a Cavalier and I personally have owned two.

Cavaliers are great, reliable little cars. I have never had a problem with anything under the hood, and neither has my mother or husband. And I do mean NO PROBLEMS. If you treat this car right, with regular oil changes and tune-ups, you can expect to have no problems even after your car rolls over the hundred thousand mile mark.

They’re affordable, they are sharp looking, they have a nice turn radius and tight handling.

I can’t say enough about how great Cavaliers are!

Sorry for the double thread. Their servers were having problems.

I was just wondering.

My 2003 cavalier, which looks like this car, has had a few very minor problems. One, they put on the tires too tight and that warped the rotors (after a tire rotation), and a power window motor went bad. These are not typical problems with cavaliers. I have another, could be serious, problem and that is I think my float in my gas tank went bad. I think it went bad because I put too much gas in there and I guess too much back pressure or something broke it. Now, the gas gauge goes all funny. I’m going to see if I can get that replaced under warranty. I sure hope they will.

Ah ha ha…

See, I knew after I posted that glowing report on Cavaliers you would say you were having problems

I would have to say that your problems are not typical. Breaking the floating gas gauge? That’s a bit strange…but I’m sure they will fix it. Rotors can be touchy, too.

I do think it looks sharp. Not sure what my next car is going to be.

THat’s me. However, I love chevy’s and gm vehicles. I will never buy anything else. It’s just my luck that I have problems.

“Breaking the floating gas gauge? That’s a bit strange…but I’m sure they will fix it. Rotors can be touchy, too.”
Assumming that I did. It happened right after I filled the car up with too much gas.

Hondas and Toyotas are way overrated. Apologizes in advance to import lovers.

The 2004 malibu looks sharp. Very japanese looking with european (almost everything).
Anyway, what was wrong was the sending unit (which I broke I guess from overfilling the tank). They fixed it for free and the gas gauge is working properly again.

I have a black cloud over my head when it comes to things. I have a tendency to have bad things happen to my things.

Sharp looking car IMO

The article says this thing is based on the same platform as the Saturn Ion. If that’s the case, I’d be wary. The Ion has been getting hammered by reviewers. They say it’s not a very good car.

I think the Malibu looks like a Chevy truck in the front and a Mitsubishi Lancer in back. Interesting that you said it looks sharp and “Japanese looking,” as opposed to the usual ugly American car?

BTW, before you think I’m baiting you, I think my '03 Accord has the buttugliest rear end of a car I’ve ever seen. I wish it was like the Acura TSX, which is what the Accord looks like in Europe. If I won the lotto I’d get the TSX instead, just for vanity’s sake.
