I don’t know how GM does it…thjey spemnt millions on the replacement for the 24 year-old Cheverolet Cavalier platform…and managed to design something that looks just like the Cavalier!
Granted, I’m sure they came upwith a modern car…but it just seems to me that the cars look exactly alike!
of course, the cavalier wasn’t anything special…it came out with an unbalanced 4-banger, and was a noisey, hard riding little car.
Has anyone test driven the new Cobalt? Is it a lot better than the car it replaces?
It’s based on the same platform as the Saturn Ion. From what I’ve been reading, it’s much better than the long running Cavalier.
I had a friend who owned a 1993 Cavalier. It didn’t exactly set the road on fire, but it was dependable. He had it for about 10 years before buying a new car.
I’m on my 2nd Cavalier now; my first one made it past 120K without major overhaul. They weren’t flashy, but they got the job done.
I was wondering if the Cobalts were meant to be the “new” Cavaliers; they certainly do look similar.
The Cobalt is a direct replacement for the Cavalier.
I seem to recall the Cavalier Z24 convertible as being not too shabby looking.
The two-tone with the striping/decal package looked even better.
