Maybe there is justice in the world after all…
norinew, I’ve never thought of you as whiny at all. I think we’re all concerned about your oldest daughter, though, and then you have health problems on top of that…

Nuts are also good healthy fat, and protein. Mmmmm, nuts.
Don’t expect those devilled eggs to hang around, with Ra’s unnatural love for them. In fact, I wanted to know if he’s coming next weekend*, because I thought that’d be a good thing
to make.
*Dopefest at my house, anyone who is near enough to attend.
Well, it’s really nice to know people are concerned about me. I just got worried, after you said you follow all my threads, that I hope people don’t think I whine.
Well, he’s not here during the week to scarf up on the good food. As far as him coming next weekend, I’ll pin him down to an answer this weekend. But yeah, deviled eggs are good.
norinew, I’ve never thought of you as a whiner either.
Well, that’s reassuring. Thanks.
Dang, I weighed in today and it was not pretty. I think my scale reading was bad last week because I can’t believe I gained four pounds. I really think that my time off hurt me more than I wanted to admit and was too happy to accept an incorrect number last week. I could accept some gain, it being Passover and all, but four pounds in a week seems way high.
So, as a contrast to all of you doing so well…
280 / 262.5 / 175
This week I am going to pay way more attention to the diet, and the exercise is still going well. We will turn this thing around. Thanks for listening.
Don’t fret about the 4 lbs brownie55. The scale is the least accurate measurement of fat loss (and we all want to lose fat, right, not just numbers on the scale). I’m willing to bet that you didn’t gain 4 lbs of fat and the higher number is a combination of factors. Hang in there! The only way to fail is to quit trying.
I got my final stats for the walking challenge and I place 248th out of 2147 participants. I really wanted to make the top 150 but that just didn’t happen.
Murphy’s law number 749…if you lay your walking clothes out the night before you will turn off the alarm clock and sleep through your morning walk. that’s it. I’m not laying my clothes out anymore.
Norine, my best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Many of you seem to be in the 170’s now. Good for you all! I wanna be in the 170’s too! Then I’d be at the high end of my weight in high school oh, so long ago. I figure by June (I hope) that I will be there. 193.2 this morning, so it’s getting closer!
With a little luck and perseverance, I lost 4 more lbs this week. This makes up for the small gain last week, and puts me back on track. I am at 318 lbs, down from 383 lbs to start.
Next week is Gingy’s party. I am so looking forward to it!
I’m up 1.6 this week. I’ve noticed a pattern…I get paid biweekly, on Friday. Our meetings are on Saturday morning. The meeting immediately after a payday (at the end of a week in which my funds are on the downslope of the hill), I lose. The meeting in the middle of the pay period (at the end of a week in which my funds are a bit more flush), I gain.
I may need to start leaving my debit card at home during the week…
Hmmmm. Now that may be a good idea!
supervenusfreak, that’s an impressive weight loss. Congratulations!
Thank you! I am one third of the way to my lifetime goal weight.
Woohoo! That’s way cool! I bet you can really feel the difference now.
I can’t wait to see you guys next weekend.
Same here. I am going to stop at Trader Joe’s this week and pick up a few things to bring with us. If you have any suggestions let me know.
Monday morning weigh-in finds me a half pound down from last week, making my total weight loss 8 pounds, since I started on February 1.
I was prepared to hold steady and moderately afraid of gaining, after the rough week, but fortune was good to me. Back on plan this morning!
Easter dinner, by the way, was barbecue pork ribs, baked sweet potatoes, cole slaw, and Ina Garten’s coconut cake. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
I’m at 171.5 today which is right about where I was last week this time. Now that the walking challenge is over I’m going to have to challenge myself. I’m shooting for a daily average of 12000 and 4 days a week of 20000 steps.
We’ll see how that works.
Have a great week everyone.
I so envy you! LOL!
One of the things that I have learned so far is that it’s okay to have small amounts of things like that. I have also learned that my taste buds have changed. If I am going to go off program right now, it is going to be for something sweet and decadent like Ina Garten’s coconut cake.
Core has changed my taste buds, too. It’s unbelievable how much better treats taste now. It’s also surprising to me how little I can eat–I had to leave half my cole slaw on the plate to manage my slice of cake, and even then, I didn’t want a full meal for the rest of the day. I felt a little ill, to tell the truth.
