Yeah for the Seahawks. Great pick with JP gone. Curry/Tatupu will make things interesting in the NFL West.
The Seahawks replace Julian Peterson with a guy that looks almost exactly like Julian Peterson.
The 'Hawks replace Peterson with the best player in the draft. Probably the right move. It’s now official, no one is trading up for Sanchez. SenorBeef, you still with us?
I think the Brownies are going to grab Crabtree. Just a hunch, even though Raji is probably a smarter pick.

Hey, whatta know, Mort is saying that someone should trade up to THIS pick to grab Sanchez.
Or were they simply playing a repeat of him saying the exact same thing in every prior pick.
I have a feeling somebody good is going to fall to the 49ers at #10, but who? Crabtree?
Trade! And the Jets on the clock! This is good times!
Woo Hoo, the Jets fuck up at the draft AGAIN!!!
This time the Brownies get the benefit of poor Jet drafting.
Sanchez is charismatic enough for New York. Good move.
The Jets fans seem to like it.
Isn’t he too untested and inexperienced for a 5 pick.
Well, I’ll be damned! SenorBeef, was that sputtering a expression of joy? I have to think this is the very best scenario you could have had. It’ll be interesting to see how much the Jets gave up. For what it’s worth, I think Sanchez has a tough road to hoe with the Jets and that heat.
I’m shocked that the Jets fans in the audience LIKE this move. I figured they’d hate this guy and this move, he’s by no means a sure thing and they gave up a lot I’m sure.
There were two guys shaking there heads there.
Wow, what a price! Three players AND the 1st and 2nd. Ouch!
Jets traded their 1st, 2nd, and three players.
Cincy is on the clock and they have to draft Monroe or A. Smith here. Gotta protect Palmer.
I wonder how serious the Redskins were about going and getting Sanchez, that might have all been bullshit to bait a team like the Jets into raising their price. Would the Browns have been smart enough to use the Redskins as leverage?
HOLY CRAP that’s an expensive trade. All in order to get the opportunity to pay the guy Matt Ryan type money. Yikes. Who were the players?
Actually, that was frustration - I posted after Curry was taken. I was in the living room checking from my ipod so I didn’t want to type out much of a response.
Elam is a promising safety that we tried to sign as an RFA but the Jets matched the offer. I don’t know anything about the other two - anyone have info?
We have 3 2nd round picks now. I’m hoping for Wood (center), one of the 2nd round RBs, and originally I wanted Patrick Chung SS but Elam may negate the need. Maybe Larry English will last to the #36?

Those aren’t garbage players either. What a HUGE price.
The Jets think so. He’s got all the tools, including a very competitive streak. His inexperience is the only problem.
The Bengals pick OT Andre Smith.
Attitude problems notwithstanding, I think Andre will be an incredible tackle in the league.
It’s fucking comical that the Bungles took Andre Smith over Monroe. I think he’s absolutely the right pick, his on-field performance is just so good, but it’s hilarious that Cincy takes another guy with personality issues. They never let us down from a comedy standpoint.
Now we have Oakland on the clock. Everyone thinks they’ll take either Crabtree or Maclin. I think the play against type and take Monroe. Though if they are Chitwood’s mystery team then the pick will probably be Harvin. HA!
