2009 NFL Draft Day Conversation

Only a few more picks for Monroe to make it to the Packers!

And the Bengals get another problem child. With the Jets making a questionable call and the Bengals drafting Andre Smith, it’s almost comical in how perception meets reality.

Oakland is coming up. They draft with a flair. so far pretty it has been chaky.

Wouldn’t shock me if Maclin goes here to the Raiders and not Crabtree.

lol Bungles. Dhani Jones is going to be giving him purple nurples in practice and making him cry.

I’m surprised Senor isn’t dancing in the streets with that trade. A starting DE for their 3-4 to go with Rodgers and Williams, a starting Safety, a first, a second, and a Qb project. Good for them.

Raiders pick WR Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

ha ha ha ha ha

Al Davis proves once again that he’s an idiot. Even if that was THE pick, he might have tried to trade down or something.

Wow! Above Crabtree! Amazing! Classic Oakland move!

Al Davis strikes again.

Agreed, Crabtree’s not running might cost him. The experts have been putting Maclin on the Raiders for weeks now, especially McShay. If the Raiders don’t take a WR I think my prediction of them sliding will come true.
In a not-so-shocking move the Raiders totally play to type and take the fastest guy out there with Heyward-Bey! Ha!

I like the Sanchez trade for both teams. Browns get a shitload, and the Jets get a 50/50 shot of having a QB that can hold up against Tom Brady. When you have the patriots in you division, you gotta roll the dice.

Christ – Heyward Bey. Davis, you moron.

HAHHAHAAHAHAHAHHHHHHAHAAAA

Oh, Raiders!!! I love you guys for stuff like this!!!

Passing on Crabtree for the next Troy Williamson is just perfect for Al Davis!

I had faith in the Raiders. Skipping Crabtree.

I guess the Boldin trade rumors are coming from Rosenscum himself on ESPN.

There is no there there.

The Raiders continue the trend. Who else has a draft-day M.O. that will be funny? Can the Redskins give away their entire draft for a guy?

Profootballtalk.com says the eagles offered a 3. Problem is 'Zona did not give teams permission to talk contract with Boldin before making the deal.

I’m cautiously optimistic but I don’t really know much about the players. Mangini signed some possibly washed up NYJ players in free agency… I’m concerned, given his reputation as a guy with a secretive, paranoid way of running teams that he’s just trying to acquire scrub Jet players who are willing to be his lackeys.

Some predictions:

Jacksonville: Eugene Monroe

Green Bay: Michael Oher

San Fransisco: Michael Crabtree
Tick tock, tick tock.

Alrighty, Jacksonville needs to grab Crabtree, which would make Monroe the perfect pick for the Packers. I’ll be furious of they don’t pick Monroe if he’s available.

Teams are certainly playing true to their images, good or bad. All I know it helps the 49ers.

I wonder if them including Ratliff in the deal will be a factor in a potential Brady Quinn trade. They have too many QBs, I’m betting they’ll try turning Quinn into more picks.
