I need more caffiene to motivate and also rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification on a cold mornin’ must commence. Woe is me!
Here and sort of awake. Mr. Lissar and I watched the new episode of Sherlock just before bed (it was great!) and I couldn’t turn off my stupid brain all night, plus Nat woke up several times. Urgh. Tired.
Wouldn’t you know on the day I want to get up early, Scruffy is still abed at 7… stoopit dog! But I got up anyway, after a not-too-terrible night. I popped a melatonin and it helped and even tho I woke several times during the night, I was able to fall back to sleep, so yay! It appears part of the problem with me rescheduling myself is that we’re watching The Tudors on Netflix, and 2 episodes a night takes 2 hours. Not bad if we start at 7, but if it’s after 8, then it starts getting late. But at least today I’m up at a more normal hour.
And a pause there to let Scruffy out. It’s a whopping 15° next to my garage wall, and inside the garage, the lights won’t come on - they get that way when it’s cold. I think we need new fixtures, and I think we may have a couple extras in the basement. There’s another chore for another day.
Speaking of chores, today is finish-the-mud-sanding-and-prime-the-drywall day. If I feel like it, I’ll also run to Lowe’s for the stuff we didn’t get yesterday because **FCD **was worn out after getting his new phone. That sounds pathetic, but we were standing around the AT&T place for about an hour between waiting and being waited on, and he is barely 3 weeks away from having his back flayed open, so he’s allowed to poop out. Anyway, I have the shopping list, so I can manage myself. Unless he feels up to it later. Other chore will be laundry. rah.
So, Happy Wednesday all, long distance hugs with face masks to all the sickies (I’m a delicate flower and I don’t want your germs), and bartender, give my friends some caffeine! Make it doubles all around!

We have our end of year product review next Tuesday and I had planned on starting to work on my stuff for it today but apparently the controller and sales got their knickers in a knot over something in the end of year financials and omgwehavetoreviewthisrightnowrigthnowrightnow!!! So I have to do in 4 hours what normally takes 2 days. So I supposes I had better get back to it!
Interesting email - the company that has my resume contacted me and said they’ll be sending me an employment package soon. I wrote back and reminded them that I’m not available till February. I honestly didn’t expect to hear from them anyway. I’m not sure what’s going on, but maybe I do have a job after all… hmmmmmmm…
Howdy from irk. Not much doin’. Our soon to be receptionist is in and I’ve been irkin’ with her on such things as the phones, messages etc. Now she is [del]bein’ tortured[/del] bein’ shown the information management system which is always a good time. :dubious:
Just found out that my doc extended my disability time by another week. So now, I’ve got five more weeks of doing nothing to do. Daytime TV really sucks!
**gotti **- my spousal unit just passed the 3 week mark and he’s bored out of his tree. If it wasn’t for the cruise the end of this month, he’d be back at the office already, I bet. I don’t think the doc would let him drive, but he could sit at his desk as well as he could sit on the couch, so I’d be a chauffeur. Thank goodness for the cruise!
I was off work for 2 weeks officially after my knee surgery then worked from home 2 more as I found I couldn’t sit comfortable at my desk. I was going stir crazy. Daytime TV doth sucketh!

I am filled with :grrrrrrrr:. VunderLair Mk II has no heat today. The furnace dude is there now, and I previously went to Lowes to buy 2 space heaters so VWife wouldn’t freeze.
I miss my old woodburner. The only reasons it wouldn’t heat were I didn’t stoke it, or I neglected to dig out the ash after a week.
man, this room is drafty. Most of the house is a reasonable 69 degrees american, but this room, with these windows that don’t close properly, is 64. brrrr
Back from orientation. Unfortunately, most of my major specific classes are only offered in the fall and the ones that aren’t require prereqs that I don’t have. Other than that, I need to start on my Chem-to-Organic Chem and Precalc-to-Calc2 tracks and the first class in each isn’t available. I’m going to try to get them done over the summer.
The good news:
I am officially a junior!
The bad news:
There is crap available right now so this semester will be kind of wasted.
So I’m taking it easy with only 12 credits because I don’t see the point wasting money on 3 classes I don’t need. So, I’m taking 2 that I need and 2 I don’t just so I can stay full time. The two I need actually fill 3 general education requirements, which is nice.
I’m hoping to take chem 1 and precalc in the summer so that I can start the fall on track to finish in 2 years.
