2012 Golden Globes on NBC Tonight

Agree 100%.

They must be trying to “spread the wealth” but it’s annoying when the best acting is ignored. (I have yet to see the first episode of Grammer’s show, so I may be wrong.)

Highlight of the night!

Correct! The only acting award that was truly deserved, IMHO.

And to add to what everyone else has said - yes, Dinklage’s character is a little person, but is also one of the more awesome characters in the book series. He’s continuing the awesomeness in the HBO series.

I loved Madonna’s dress.
What IS it with Michelle Williams, she seems to be getting dowdier at every one of these events.
And what the heck was that magnificent gown doing on Lea Michele? Nicole Kidman, or Cher - they would have looked spectacular in it. Lea Michele looked like a Soccer Mom’s Big Night Out.
Everyone was raving over Angelina Jolie’s sausage-casing white satin thing, and I thought she looked like some kind of statue.
I did like Piper Perabo’s poufy ball gown, and I am all alone in liking Sarah Michelle Gellar’s tie-dye getup, though that was a LOT of dress.

I watched her on Craig Ferguson’s show a little while ago, and she came across as drunk or stoned or something there, too. Something’s off with her, it seems.

I shut this off partway through out of disgust and boredom, but one good thing that came out of it was an awareness of “Homeland”, which we gave a try last night. Three eps later, we’re hooked. Mandy Patinkin is outstanding, as is Damien ::mumblemumble::, and Clare Danes is good too, if a bit over the top crazy-wise.

Total agreement here on that show. IMHO Mandy makes it work.

Did anybody else get a cold chill when they showed Mireille Enos as if she or the show she mugged her way through were even worthy of nomination?

That’s the character, though, and she’s written that way for a reason. Brace yourself for the episodes when she goes off her meds!
