2012 Movie, Arbitrage — was pretty good! (Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Brit Marling)

I hadn’t heard of Arbitrage (2012) before. My wife found it and we saw it last night and it was quite good! (It rates 88% on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer). I like the main actors, and the plot was intriguing with twists and turns.

Have you seen it? Did you like it? Can you recommend other movies like it?

Google says these other movies are similar to Arbitrage:
Unfaithful (2002)
Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer (2016)
A Perfect Murder (1998)
Irresistible (2006)
Primal Fear (1996)
Someone to Watch Over Me (1987)

I’ve only seen Unfaithful and enjoyed that, but I like Arbitrage better.

I think Richard Gere stars in some of those movies, so it sounds like that’s why they’re being recommended. But if you want a movie with a similar sort of setting, I’d recommend Wall Street or Margin Call or Too Big To Fail (the last two were about the 2008 crisis).

Thanks. Wall Street is a classic. I haven’t seen Margin Call so I’ll look for that, thanks for the tip. I did see Too Big to Fail. Scary how the few can affect the many.
